Bruce Willis' wife Emma Heming ropes in specialists to prepare 'dementia care toolbox' for actor
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Emma Heming Willis, Bruce Willis' wife, is the definition of "support during tough times," proving that love conquers all difficulties.
After learning that her husband Bruce Willis had been diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia (FTD), Heming is doing everything she can to educate herself on the condition. The 44-year-old posted a picture on Instagram on February 27, 2023 with dementia education and care expert Teepa Snow. Emma thanked the Association for Frontotemporal Degeneration for its assistance in guiding her through Bruce's condition.

It’s raining praises
Heming shared an Instagram post about Teepa Snow, writing "I'm pleased I had the opportunity to work with @teepasnows pac who has helped me add to my dementia care toolbox." Snow is a renowned specialist known to offer awareness, information, and practical dementia care skills. “She’s a loving, compassionate and skilled leader in this space who navigates herself with pure empathy,” Heming said, adding, “She’s a gift.”
Bruce, 67, was identified as having frontotemporal dementia earlier in February 2023. Later, Emma revealed to his fans that his condition has gotten worse since his family initially learned of his aphasia diagnosis last year. "Unfortunately, challenges with communication are just one symptom of the disease Bruce faces. While this is painful, it is a relief to finally have a clear diagnosis," she said.
An evergreen love story
The love between Bruce Willis and Emma Heming Willis is strong. The two started dating in 2007. Afterwards, they went out together in January 2008 when Heming accompanied Willis to the Sundance Film Festival premiere of his movie 'What Just Happened?'.
Three days after Christmas, on December 28, 2022, Heming posted a lovely throwback video on Instagram to remember the beginning of her relationship with her future spouse. "It was that winter, 15 years ago I fell head [over] heels in love with him #loveofmylife," she wrote beneath a video of a family ski trip.
In love and also in grief
Heming shared an Instagram video on National Grief Awareness Day how she was handling the aphasia diagnosis for Willis. She captioned a video of herself gardening, staining wood, shadowboxing, riding a bike, playing tennis, and more, "This was the summer of self discovery—finding new hobbies, going out of my comfort zone and staying active. Although my grief sometimes be crippling, I'm learning to live with it." The post received a lot of negative feedback for whatever reason, but that didn't stop Heming from responding to the internet trolls, and Willis was the one who gave her everything she needed for the perfect clapback.
The end of an era
Willis and Heming, 44, are frequently photographed with Demi Moore, 67, the ex-wife of the actor, and their three daughters, Rumer, 34, Scout, 31, and Tallulah, 28. Together, they have experienced both joyous occasions and trying moments. Bruce’s family presented a unified front when they broke the heartbreaking news that Willis was ending his illustrious acting career owing to his aphasia diagnosis back in March 2022, and which was impairing his cognitive abilities.
