Britney Spears posts topless twerking video, shocked fans say it 'seems super off'
After posting a series of topless photos on social media, Britney Spears has taken things up a notch with her latest Instagram shenanigan. On Friday, September 9, Britney shocked even her most loyal fanbase by posting a video where she is wearing nothing but a skimpy thong. The pop icon appears topless in the video which is shot from the backside via a selfie camera. She posted a photo in the same posture at first and soon followed it up with the twerking video.
In the past few weeks, Britney fans have navigated a flood of emotions as the singer's father Jamie Spears ultimately filed the petition to step down from her conservatorship, after a long wait of over 13 years. Meanwhile, the 'Toxic' singer has developed a knack for sharing topless photos as a gesture of expressing her will to be free. She has posted over four topless photos and videos and clarified her stance in one of them with a quote from Sophia Loren β "There is a fountain of youth: it is your mind, your talents, the creativity you bring to your life and the lives of people you love. When you learn to tap this source, you will truly have defeated age."

She soon followed it up with the twerking video, where she wrote, "Here's a video so you guys can see this is really my ass πππ !!!! No filters or cover ups β¦ it's the real deal !!!! The video appears to have been shot inside her bathroom.
The video racked up thousands of views within minutes but divided her fans. While a majority of them expressed concerns, some supported the 'Criminal' hitmaker for her freedom of artistic expression.
"I want this girl to be OK. This doesn't feel ok," a fan commented, while another added, "Please start to create new songs your talent itβs more important for us than your naked pictures."
"I'm all for woman doing what they want with their bodies but something seems super off about this," a third fan said.
Meanwhile, she received supportive responses as well, as TikToker Josh Helfgott commented, "THANK YOU BRITNEY!!!!! YOU ARE PERFECT". "Ladies in here are all about empowering other women unless Britney wants to show her body. Calm down people, itβs 2021. Her body, her choice right?" another supportive fan wrote.
A few days ago, her father Jamie Spears officially filed a petition to end her conservatorship β after having complete control over the singer's personal and professional life for 13 years. The petition came weeks after he declared that he would step down from the position of Britney's conservator amid mounting pressures. In his petition filed in Los Angeles Superior Court, Jamie Spears' attorney stated, "As Mr Spears has said again and again, all he wants is what is best for his daughter. If Ms Spears wants to terminate the conservatorship and believes that she can handle her own life, Mr Spears believes that she should get that chance." Britney fans are hoping that the petition will be approved by overseeing judge Brenda Penny.
However, while responding to the petition, Britney's attorney Mathew Rosengart mentioned in a statement, "It appears that Mr Spears believes he can try to avoid accountability and justice, including sitting for a sworn deposition and answering other discovery under oath, but as we assess his filing β which was inappropriately sent to the media before it was served on counsel β our investigation will continue." It is believed that Jamie Spears sent his court petition to NBC News before it was served in court.
Presently, a hearing has been set for September 29, 2021, when we might see the end of Britney Spears' "toxic" conservatorship that shackled her for more than a decade.
