Britney Spears, Sam Asghari slam ex Kevin Federline's 'hurtful' claim that her sons are shunning her
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Britney Spears and husband Sam Asghari have called out her ex Kevin Federline’s claims that her sons are not meeting the singer and have ‘distanced themselves' from her.
In an interview with the Daily Mail, Kevin had said, “The boys have decided they are not seeing her right now,” adding, “It’s been a few months since they’ve seen her. They made the decision not to go to her wedding.”

Britney's husband Sam Asghari blasted Kevin on his Instagram story on August 6. Sam said, “There is no validity to his statement regarding the kids distancing themselves and it is irresponsible to make that statement publicly.” He added, “The boys are very smart and will be 18 soon to make their own decisions and may eventually realize the ‘tough’ part was having a father who hasn’t worked much in over 15 years as a role model.”
Kevin Federline, a 'Celebrity Fit Club' alum, also claimed that the boys were “happy” for their mom after she married Sam but struggle with Britney’s revealing Instagram posts. He said, “I try to explain to them, ‘Look, maybe that’s just another way she tries to express herself.’ But that doesn’t take away from the fact of what it does to them. It’s tough.”
Meanwhile, Britney too shared in an Instagram story, “It saddens me to hear that my ex husband has decided to discuss the relationship between me and my children … as we all know, raising teenage boys is never easy for anyone … it concerns me the fact that the reason is based on my Instagram … it was LONG before Instagram … I gave them every thing … Only one word: HURTFUL … I’ll say it … My mother told me ‘You should GIVE them to their dad’ … I’m sharing this because I can … Have a good day folks!!!”
Kevin also made statements about the conservatorship, which was overseen by Jamie Spears. “They’ve had a lot of questions about it,” he told the outlet. “I don’t know that I can answer all of them for them but I just tried to explain to them that your mom needed help, you know, and the people were in play to try to make that happen, to make it better.” He had previously supported the singer's desire to end the adult guardianship, which lasted 13 years.
Slamming his statement, Britney wrote in an Instagram post, "I would like to share the DOOR to the outside is a token to the WHITE GATES I've been kept from for 15 years...the conservatorship has been over for 8 months!!!!"
According to Britney's husband Sam, her ex is speaking out because child support payments would end when the boys turn 18. The Grammy winner pays $35,000 per month in child support, as per a 2018 custody agreement.
Twitter slams Kevin Federline, calls him "a loser"
Internet users spoke strongly against Kevin's statements, writing that he should get a "real job." A Twitter user wrote, "KEVIN FEDERLINE IS A LOSER AND SO IS HIS WIFE. THEY BOTH NEED TO GET JOBS AND LEAVE BRITNEY ALONE AND STOP LIVING OFF HER MONEY."
Another added, "Imagine being Kevin Federline. 40 years old and never had a job. 6 kids and living off the support of one wife while always asking for more. Sons about to turn 18 and terrified that one day he might have to work."
A user added, "It must be tough for Kevin Federline to know that he’ll need a job in two years because he won’t be getting those fat child support payments."
