Groot and Captain Marvel are all set to head out for a new adventure not for a Marvel movie but for the latest edition of ‘Fast and Furious’. Yes, Brie Larson is all set to join the ‘Fast and Furious’ family after the movie’s lead star Vin Diesel made the big announcement on his Instagram over the weekend.
 
The ‘Bloodshot’ star shared the big news with his close to 80 million followers on Instagram by posting an adorable picture of the two. He accompanied the post with a detailed caption which slightly gave a hint about Brie Larson’s role. Brie’s announcement comes months after ‘Aquaman’ star Jason Momoa was confirmed for ‘Fast and Furious 10’. The actor will apparently play the role of a baddie in the high-octane car racing drama franchise.

What role will Brie Larson play in ‘Fast 10’?

Jason Momoa might have been confirmed as an antagonist for ‘Fast 10’ but very little is known about his role in the film. The actor had, however, described his villain as "flamboyant" and "misunderstood”. Speaking of Brie Larson’s role, Vin Diesel did drop a subtle hint in his Instagram caption saying she will be “timeless and amazing” in their mythology. Taking to Instagram, Vin stated, “Yeah yeah yeah… you see this angel over my shoulder cracking me up, you say to your self “ that’s captain Marvel”. Clearly there is love and laughter in this image.”
 
The 54-year-old actor then gave a hint about Brie’s role saying “What you don’t see however, is the character you will be introduced to in Fast10. You have no idea how timeless and amazing she will be in our mythology. Beyond her beauty, her intellect… her Oscar, haha is this profound soul who will add something you might not have expected but yearned for” concluding, “Welcome to the FAMILY Brie.”  ‘The Suicide Squad's Daniel Melchior is another star who was roped in last month for ‘Fast 10’. 2021’s ‘F9: The Fast Saga’ was helmed by Justin Lin and he will be sitting on the director’s chair once again for the 10th part.
 
The regulars from the franchise namely Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, Chris “Ludacris” Bridges and Sung Kang will also be marking their return to the flick. Charlize Theron, who first appeared in the eighth film, and returned for F9, is expected to make an explosive comeback to the movie. The plot of ‘F10’ is still unknown. MEAWW will keep you posted. ‘F9: The Fast Saga’ had raked in an impressive $720million at the global box office, making it one of the biggest films of the year.

Social media users took to Twitter to react on Brie getting on board for ‘Fast 10’. “I have a feeling Vin Diesel was too busy watching those Nissan Commercials of Brie Larson in them”, joked one user as another chimed in, “So how long will she last before she gets sick of Vin Diesel's ego?” One said, “I have a feeling Vin Diesel was too busy watching those Nissan Commercials of Brie Larson in them.”
 
The next one tweeted, “Bold move, adding Brie Larson to the cast of Fast and Furious 10. I guess Vin Diesel decided that he doesn't like money anymore”, as another mentioned, “My God! This is the last straw. Now I'm officially done with F&F movies. Why chose the most hated actress of all time to be part of it? This is self destruct behavior.” One user posted, “Terrible news. Now I'm no longer watching this. I hate to say this but I'm glad Paul is not here to see this.” And, one individual concluded, “Another day of thanking god for not being a fan of this franchise.”
