In the latest episode of 'Bridezilla’, we have Jersey girl Jessica and Sean and it doesn’t take long for Jessica to show the world her quacks. No, literally! When she gets mad, she makes a grunting sound that somehow sounds like a quack. “It’s a little intimidating and controlling,” says Sean.

Unfortunately, tragedy struck Jessica when her mother died from head, neck and lung cancer just a year ago. Jessica’s sister Guerline observes later in the show that Jessica has changed in the past one year, maybe because she is constantly missing their mother.

The very controlling Jessica couldn’t control her guest list for the wedding as it spiked up to 140 guests from 100. Wedding planner Ketura managed to get them a bigger accommodation for the wedding but there’s a catch. Jessica wants to have an all-white wedding because white is her late mother’s favourite color. However, the ballroom hall that Ketura managed to get them had black railings. Surely, the bride wasn’t willing to compromise. When her groom Sean sided with Ketura, Jessica got mad and refused to sit in the same car with Sean. Instead, she called her bridesmaid to pick her up.

On the other hand, we have Evelyn from last episode. Last week we saw how she managed to upset all her bridesmaids/bride queens and her husband-to-be Joseph was struggling to bring together an assortment of very complicated dowry, which was according to the Nigerian tradition. He managed to get a cow, which was part of the dowry. Evelyn still has a rough relationship with her wedding planner JL.

While the Nigerian wedding was on the first night and the white wedding on the next, JL informed Evelyn that the chef was under the impression that the cow meat would be cooked on the second night and that no one was cooking food on the night of the Nigerian wedding. This is why the chef had frozen the meant. As a result, the chef and JL were forced to defrost the meat and they did it in a trash can with warm water in it.

Meanwhile, Jessica had a party with her bridesmaids while she was still fighting with Sean by giving him the silent treatment. Unfortunately, her maid-of-honor Tasha turned up an hour late and another bridesmaid accidentally broke a picture frame. Jessica then kicked every single bridesmaid out of her house and went cocktail dress shopping the next day. Guerline later took her case and asked her to apologise. Jessica gaged at the word apologise like it was not even an option.

Jessica and Sean then went for counselling to Reverend Roxy but the Reverend didn’t seem very sure that they should get married as she called the wedding “questionable”.

Evelyn and Joseph have their first wedding. We see Joe negotiating the dowry with Evelyn’s family. He was short of 25 chickens and tried to make it up with money when Evelyn’s father says, “Money doesn’t buy marriage.” He eventually agrees to give his daughter’s hand to Joseph and the exchange of dowry was successful as everyone ate the trash can meat.

The second wedding was better arranged as Evelyn and Joseph washed each other’s feet for some reason and her “queen-of-honor” Joy said it was “weird”, for lack of a better word. The couple was happily married after two weddings and JL was probably the happiest that it was over.

'Bridezillas' airs on Thursdays at 10 pm ET on WE tv.
