‘You’ll always be with us’: Bradley McIntosh shares heartfelt tribute to S Club 7 bandmate Paul Cattermole after his death at 46

LONDON, ENGLAND: Fans and friends of S Club 7 band member Paul Cattermole have been unable to come to terms with his tragic death on April 6, aged just 46. British singer and fellow bandmate Bradley McIntosh recently took to his social media to commemorate the ‘Miami 7’ star.

Sharing a nostalgic clip of themselves wearing colorful wigs, the ‘No Regrets (Who We Are)’ singer started his post with, “I can’t believe I’m writing this right now but as many of you know we lost our dear friend, fellow band member and big brother Paul last week.” He then thanked the late musician for the memories, “Thank you for the good times the memories and big love.”

The ‘City Boy’ then remembered the past as he said, “We had so many great adventures together. I know your not going to be with us on the next one in the physical but you’ll always be with us in our hearts and thoughts. Gonna miss you. Love you bro. R.I.P.”



 

"It is with great sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of our beloved son and brother Paul Cattermole," announced Cattermole’s family and bandmates in a statement after his tragic death on April 6, 2023. "While the cause of death is currently unknown, Dorset Police has confirmed that there were no suspicious circumstances. Paul's family, friends and fellow members of S Club request privacy at this time,” continued the statement, as reported by BBC.

After debuting in 1999, S Club 7 became one of the most popular bands of the 2000s, and they announced a 25th-anniversary special reunion in February of this year. McIntosh took to his Instagram to make an announcement too. “WOW can you believe it’s been 25 years!! We’re bringing the house down this October. So come and join us on our @sclub7 REUNITED tour! Pre sales sold out fast but don’t panic!! GENERAL TICKETS GO ON SALE TODAY!! See you there! #Sclub7 #Reunited #Tour #2023,” wrote McIntosh in February.



 

‘I will love you always Paul’

S Club 7 member Jo O’Meara also took to Instagram to remember her friend and fellow band member. She wrote, “I just wanted to reach out and Thank everybody from the bottom of my heart for the love and kindness you have shown over the tragic passing of our sweetest soul Paul This has been utterly devastating , and I am totally shocked and heartbroken we have lost someone so incredibly special to us all , and there is a huge sense of sadness that will never go.”



 

She continued, “Paul will forever be a huge part of our lives , and I will forever treasure the memories we made ! I will love you always Paul , God bless you my darling , Rest in forever Peace” and concluded, “Love JoJo."

‘An absolute shining star’

Rachel Stevens too thanked the fans for their support. She wrote, “Thank you so much for all your beautiful messages of love and support The out pouring of love for our Paul has been so incredibly special and has meant so much,” before adding, “I hope he knew how loved he was.”



 

Stevens continued, “Such a kind, gentle and sensitive soul with the most incredible energy and such a wild free spirit. He would light up any room. We are heartbroken but so grateful for the memories we all shared ,” and concluded, “An absolute shining star who we will love and miss always. RIP darling Paul.”

'A rebel without a cause'

Another band member, Tina Barrett wrote, “Thank you for all your well wishes and support in this tragic time. I wrote a poem for Paul I’d like to share with you all,” before posting a self-composed poem.



 

“Paul Cattermole / A shining star / Full of character and life / His flame burnt so bright / A rebel without a cause / A free spirit, a true force / While strumming the guitar / He reached for the stars / Farewell sweet Paul / Your star shines so bright / Forever in our hearts / Sleep well and / Goodnight,” wrote she, before concluding, “Miss you Cattermole love Tina.”
