COMPTON, CALIFORNIA: Directed by Nicholas Manuel Pino, Peacock's latest biographical drama film 'Bosco' is based on Quawntay Adams' memoir 'Chasin Freedum.'

The film revolves around Quawntay "Bosco" Adams (Aubrey Joseph), who received a 35-year sentence for possessing illegal drugs. The central theme of the film is Bosco's determination to escape the prison's cramped walls as soon as he finds out he's going to become a father.

The film depicts his cunning escape strategy, which involves maintaining a low profile to avoid the prying gaze of the authorities.

What happened between Quawntay 'Bosco' Adams and Tammy?

Hunt suffers from a severe guilt scar following the death of Carlos (Brandon Rogers), which negatively affects his mental state. On the other hand, Tammy, who was attempting to meet Bosco, feels betrayed when she finds out that another girl was also there to meet him.

As soon as Bosco comes back from the hole, he tries calling Tammy, but she flatly refuses to initiate any further conversation. Fueled by desperation, Bosco makes another attempt to win her over with a gentle conversation, and he succeeds.

Unaware of Bosco's true intentions, Tammy, who feels that he is a victim of an unjust and cruel legal system, decides to assist him in carrying out his escape plan. This gives Bosco hope, as his plan is finally coming to fruition.

However, the most significant issue remains because the escape route has not yet been determined.

A montage of scenes depicts Bosco trying to find his way out of an air duct, but even after several days of searching, he is unable to do so until one day. Ironically, the same luck that he was bemoaning about turns out to be his ally when he manages to find the way out without even trying.

For the first time in months, he feels the joy of sunshine through the broken roof of the air duct, and he calls it the best experience of his life. Bosco, who was all set to flee, tells Ramos (Theo Rossi) that he is going to make his getaway. Ramos believes Bosco is joking but is unaware of Bosco's true intentions.

Ultimately, Bosco uses a makeshift rope to escape through the window, and subsequently, Ramos finds out that he is running away as well. After hearing about his escape over the radio, Hunt says he should take advantage of the opportunity.

Bosco asks his mother, Willa (Vivica A Fox), for assistance as word spreads about his escape, but she flatly refuses. This forces Bosco to realize that there is always a chance of his arrest wherever he goes, prompting him to come up with a new plan.

He tells Tammy to turn herself into the police and tell them that she was duped by him and was unaware of his true intentions. After being convinced by Bosco, gullible Tammy finally gives in.

It was also shown that Bosco is eventually caught and that he does so voluntarily and without resistance. Fast forward to five years, we see Bosco meeting with his daughter and his voiceover affirms that he is happy with his situation.

Despite being imprisoned, he has no intention of running away again.

'Bosco' is now streaming on Peacock.
