Bon Jovi, the American band led by Jon Bon Jovi, is all set to enthrall their fans with their 15th studio album titled ‘Bon Jovi: 2020’. The brand new record is a follow-up to their 2016 album titled ‘This House Is Not for Sale’. The new project was first supposed to hit the Internet in May 2020 but it got delayed due to the unfortunate global pandemic.

The official Twitter account of the band had announced the new dates in July also revealing that two new songs ‘Do What You Can’ and ‘American Reckoning’ have been added to the tracklist whereas their previous two songs from the list namely ‘Luv Can’ and ‘Shine’ are no longer part of the new record. The band had earlier tweeted, “Don't forget to preorder 2020 today! Exclusive merch bundles available at http://bonjovi.com  for a limited time only.”

Release date

As mentioned earlier, ‘Bon Jovi: 2020’ was first supposed to release in May 2020 but now the album will see the light of the day on October 2, 2020, via Island Records which is owned by Universal Music Group. The album is produced by Jon Bon Jovi and John Shanks.

Concept

Talking about ‘Bon Jovi: 2020’ title, the band frontman Jon Bon Jovi had said (as reported by Wikipedia) that he gave the album this particular title because he had a clear vision after the album ‘This House Is Not for Sale’ (2016) which dealt with personal issues. The second reason why he chose that album name was because 2020 is the American election year. If we talk about the album cover, it features Jon Bon Jovi in black and white with head tilted forward and mouth in his hand as if he's about to speak. The American flag can also be seen reflecting on his sunglasses and the title appears in the upper right corner. Interestingly, this is the first Bon Jovi album cover where Jon Bon Jovi is featured without his band members since the debut album in 1984.

Speaking about the album to iHeart Radio recently, Jon Bon Jovi said, “In a topical 2020, just shy of the election, everything else is covered on this record. I've really taken a chance. I'm just saying, ultimately, I really went out on a limb. It's not ‘You Give Love a Bad Name.’ This is a very heavy record.”

Tracklist

The album’s debut single ‘Unbroken’ was dropped in November 2019 and the second single off the album ‘Limitless’ came out in February 2020. Jon Bon Jovi also released the two new songs on which he had written during the covid lockdown i.e. ‘American Reckoning’ and ‘Do What You Can.’

Here’s how the final tracklist of ‘Bon Jovi: 2020’ looks like:

‘Limitless’
‘Do What You Can’
‘American Reckoning’
‘Beautiful Drug’
‘Story Of Love’
‘Let It Rain’
‘Lower The Flag’
‘Blood In The Water’
‘Brothers In Arms’
‘Unbroken’

You can check out the music video of ‘Do What You Can’ here. The song represents the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic.

The frontman of the band Jon Bon Jovi enjoys a massive when fan following around the world. So, when the singer-songwriter had announced his band’s new record, it got the fans excited.
