When CBS's 'Bob Hearts Abishola' returned after its winter break this week, the Chuck Lorre comedy dealt with Bob's mother, Dottie's depression stemming from her post-stroke recovery.

With Abishola helping Dottie with physical therapy, the latter doesn't seem to be improving and is slowly losing her cheer. Bob's remedy of bringing her friends, Jan and Trish home (played by the wondrous Wendie Malick and Marilu Henner), does not work the way he intended and leaves Dottie feeling more upset.

When Abishola speaks of this at home during dinner, her Aunt Olu and Uncle Tunde cheerfully show up at Bob's house with food and games to cheer her up. Aunt Olu's hot pepper soup may not cure Dottie of her ailments, but the duo is certain to lift Dottie's mood.

Dottie then takes Olu and Tunde to the club to have lunch. Though this scene may have appealed to some viewers, it largely felt like the show was just taking another opportunity to deliver racist lines in the name of comedy.

The lunch goes well and the trio starts to plan for Bob and Abishola's wedding -- until Dottie mentions "prenup". Dottie knows that "half of the marriages" don't last, but Olu and Tunde are adamant that marriages are forever, "till the bitter end".

When the episode ends, Olu and Tunde leave Dottie in the front yard of Bob's house and speed off, signifying an end to that beautiful friendship that many viewers might hope to return.

Fans were especially happy with the scenes between Olu, Tunde, and Dottie, with one fan tweeting, "I can’t decide which is my favorite friendship - Abishola & Kemi or Tunde/Olu & Dottie #BobHeartsAbishola. They’re both wonderful."

Others knew that Dottie's prenup comment was a mistake, one with saying, "Dottie, you just stuck your foot in it with that prenup comment."

'Bob Hearts Abishola' airs on CBS on Monday nights.
