In her quest to win the Fall Classic Dance and Cheer Championship, Renee (Tammin Sursok), Cherie's (Monroe Cline) mother, faces numerous challenges and sacrifices. However, just as Renee is on the cusp of achieving her dream, she gets arrested.
Cheerleader Renee kills principal Robinson
Renee, who had joined the school posing as Cherie, receives repeated calls from principal Robinson (Doug Dawson) asking her to bring her mother and fill out the verification form.
Renee arrives to sign the paper, but accidentally signs as Cherie, as she had been acting as Cherie for so long. Robinson grows more suspicious and starts to follow her, Renee's anxiety will peak. She tries to evade him, but in a moment of panic, she accidentally strikes him with her car, leading to his death.
However, Renee feels no fear or guilt, as she is willing to do anything to win the competition and earn the scholarship.
Later on, Mrs Jenkins (Rhyn McLemore) informs Renee that her grades are too low and she needs to be suspended. Desperate to participate in the dance competition, Renee decides to take drastic measures.
She attempts to kill Mrs Jenkins, believing that eliminating her is the only way to ensure her spot in the competition. She mixes peanuts into Mrs. Jenkins' pastry because she knows Mrs Jenkins has a peanut allergy.
Renee participates in the dance competition. But then, out of the corner of her eye, she sees her sister, Lana (Courtney James Clark) and Cherie.
As Lana and Cherie attend the competition, they run into Patrick Iverson, school athletic director and a friend from Lana's past. Patrick is surprised to see Lana and greets her warmly, reminiscing about old times. Lana introduces Cherie, and Patrick gets confused.
Patrick's expression changes as he puts the pieces together. Patrick finally understands that Renee was posing as Cherie. Previously, Patrick also saw Renee's car after she hit Robinson and suspects that she might have killed her.
Meanwhile, Renee messages her sister to meet up, and as soon as she arrives, she hit her head lightly.
Then, she texts her daughter, and when her daughter arrives at the scene, she goes to the stage to perform. Renee's plan was to perform on stage without anyone recognizing her.
As Renee hurries to prepare for her performance, she inadvertently locks Lana in a nearby room. She focuses on executing her plan to ensure neither her sister nor her daughter sees her dance.
Renee wins the Fall Classic Dance and Cheer Championship
Renee performs on stage with her group, taking the lead as the dancer, and they win the Fall Classic Dance and Cheer Championship.
However, Cherie manages to piece together the truth. Cherie's eyes are filled with a mix of anger and hurt as she confronts Renee, demanding to know why she would do such a thing. Renee, caught off guard, tries to explain, but Cherie is not in a mood to listen.
As Renee tries to explain herself, she tearfully confesses that she did everything for her daughter. However, her confession is interrupted by the arrival of the police. They have come to arrest her for the death of Robinson, as Patrick had informed them about the accident.
In the last scene, she is handcuffed and led away, her dreams shattered and her family torn apart.
