Blackpink Jennie launches YouTube channel on birthday, surprises fans with Tangled's 'When Will My Life Begin'

This year, the K-pop singer and rapper opened her own YouTube channel to give something extra special to Blinks all over the world on her birthday

Blackpink's Jennie has made it a ritual to surprise her fans with something new every year, be it on Blackpink’s anniversary or her own birthday. This year, the K-pop singer and rapper opened her own YouTube channel to give something extra special to Blinks all over the world on her birthday.

On January 16, as Jennie fans all over the world were celebrating the ‘Solo’ crooner’s 25th birthday, Jennie opened a new YouYube channel with the username @Jennierubyjane Official with an introductory video titled ‘Hello world From Jennie’. In the video, Jennie welcomes her fans to show a little bit of her daily life and what she does in a day.

She greets her fans by “Hello, it is Jennie. I finally got to open my YouTube channel. Celebrating my birthday, I was thinking what I should  do, and I decided to turn on my camera and share my daily life and exciting things with you guys.” In the video, Jennie, who is already a pro-YouTuber, also shows her OOTD of the day donning a floral top and a matching flower necklace.  



 

Along with that, Jennie dropped a major surprise for her fans with a stunning cover of Mandy Moore’s ‘When Will My Life Begin’ from ‘Tangled’ where she shows more snippets of her life, adorable moments with her pets, and some hilarious bloopers. Within a few hours of the channel dropping, it already has more than 518,000 subscribers along with 490,000 likes on her first video with a whopping 939,250 views.

On last year's Blackpink’s anniversary, Jennie also made her private photography account public which goes by the username lesyeuxdenini as a surprise to her global fans. The aesthetic photography account instantly became the Internet’s favorite as she gained more than a million followers shortly after making it public.

Blinks all over the world were overjoyed with the singer’s new YouTube channel as it only means Jennie fans will get to see more of her life. A fan said, “It’s was the best Gifts !!!Thank You-Jennie!” Another said, “She really is thoughtful.... So thoughtful to think of what she can share with her Blinks! HAPPY BIRTHDAY JENNIE!”

A Jennie fan said, “jennie created a photography account and a youtube channel for US. to make US happy. we really don’t deserve her!” A similar tweet read, "600M views for SOLO, Jennie is happy, a song cover, Jennie finally opened her youtube channel, and a new rap written by Jennie. Jennie debuted under YG Entertainment’s Blackpink in 2016. Along with her group’s world-dominating performances in the last few years, Jennie’s first solo music titled ‘Solo’ broke major records as the music video gained 50 million views in four days, the highest for any K-pop female soloist along with charting at the top in Billboard’s World Digital Songs chart.
