‘Billions’ Season 5 Episode 4: When will Bobby and Wendy have an affair? Fans want them ‘married already’

Money and relationships go side-by-side in 'Billions'. Ever since the show started airing in January 2016, mind games have taken precedence over emotions. But something seems to have shifted. This season, the Showtime series is delving deep into matters of the heart.
From an entire episode focused on the relationship of a father and son to new additions to the cast, possibly, for a new whirlwind romance, there seems to be a lot on the cards. In this week's episode, Bobby Axelrod (Damian Lewis) and Wendy Rhoades (Maggie Siff) have a private moment together in the comfort of their apartment. As sparks fly between the duo, Bobby makes an awkward statement. “This is so much better... with Chuck out of the picture.” As much as it is a relief for both, Bobby and Wendy, it does make her a little uncomfortable and she quickly exits the dining space. After that scene, fans can't stop wondering what's cooking between the couple and are hoping the two have an affair soon.
It's clear that Bobby and Wendy are perfect for each other. After all, just like Bobby, Wendy is smart, she knows how to get the job done and the two share a history; they've built AxeCap together. Moreover, since the beginning, their respective partners — Chuck Rhoades (Paul Giamatti) or Lara Axelrod (Malin Åkerman) — have been jealous of their close bond and faith in each other. Looking at all that and the fact that they're both single now... it certainly won't hurt for them to have a relationship too.
"When will Bobby and Wendy have an affair? I hope soon. It is obvious they like each other. And they make a better couple than Chuck and Wendy or Bobby and Lara," one fan said and another posted, "Is Bobby hitting on Wendy?! I’ve always seen it happening tho lol."
"This dynamic between Wendy and Bobby is...well, I just love it. #Billions," one felt and another said, "Bobby and Wendy, when is it happening #Billions." One simply wondered, "Is Axe about to make a move on Wendy? #Billions." And another made a statement: "Bobby Axelrod. Wendy Rhoades. That's the tweet!"
"Here you go: Bobby and Wendy in quicksand. #Billions," one posted and another wrote, "Wendy and Bobby will be doin the do by the end of this season. #Billions." One even went on to say: "Bobby & Wendy need to just get married already. They Practically already are. #Billions."
Some fans, however, love their friendship. "I'm really really into the relationship between Wendy and Bobby, the intense friendship, partnership and platonic intense love. I love how they trust and love each other, not getting into a romantic relationship," one tweet read. However, they certainly won't mind if there was a romance brewing between them too, would they?
As more episodes of 'Billions' airs every Sunday at 9 pm ET on Showtime, we may soon find out whether there's hope for the couple or it was just a weak moment.
