Billie Eilish gives rare glimpse of her leg tattoo in high-slit gown at Met Gala
After rocking the 2021 Met Gala red carpet in a stunning nude princess gown, Billie Eilish, who was one of the co-chairs at the 2021 Met Gala, changed into a second Old Hollywood-inspired Oscar de la Renta design while flaunting her leg tattoo proudly. While most celebrities and influential people changed their dresses for the Met Gala after-parties, the ‘When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?’ singer did not wait and donned another fabulous sheer gown inside the gala.
The multiple Grammy award winner’s first outfit was mostly about peach color and an enormous train, which she rocked by channeling her Marilyn Monroe with a bob haircut. Her second look was focused on a dark color. She effortlessly sizzled in the wine-colored gown with a sheer cape to present onstage with her fellow hosts Amanda Gorman, Naomi Osaka, and Timothée Chalamet.

Eilish also did not deter herself from showcasing her massive leg tattoo in the slit dress that also featured a strapless neckline. She showed off this ink that goes from her upper thigh to the middle of her chest first when she posed for the June cover of British Vogue. Her dangerously high slit gown also sometimes exposed her pink undergarment, which she wore inside the dress and it did not seem to bother her. She kept her makeup glossy while accessorizing herself only in a pair of dazzling earrings, a blinking bracelet, a ring, and a red clutch.
In July, in an interview with The Guardian, she frankly spoke about the pressure some people feel to always look good and shared her views on it. The ‘Bad Guy’ singer said: “Since I was a kid, my dad and I have always talked about a certain type of person who’s so insecure, or hyperaware and self-conscious, that they never move in a weird way, or make a weird face, because they always want to look good. I’ve noticed that, and it makes me so sad. If you’re always standing a certain way, walking in a certain way, and always have your hair just so… It’s such a loss to always try to always look good. It’s such a loss of joy and freedom in your body.”
At the time, Eilish also noted how sometimes she felt pressured too. The 19-year-old added, “I see people online, looking like I’ve never looked. And immediately I am like, oh my God, how do they look like that? I know the ins and outs of this industry, and what people actually use in photos, and I actually know what looks real can be fake. Yet I still see it and go, oh God, that makes me feel really bad. And I mean, I’m very confident in who I am, and I’m very happy with my life.”
Meanwhile, people on social media were all in awe of Eilish’s style at the event. As she shared her second look on her Instagram page with a butterfly in the caption, people could not stop themselves from complimenting her. A fan wrote, “She can drag me all the way through the hall way and i would feel more than blessed.” The second one commented, “TATTOO TATTOO TATTOO TATTOO.” “THE DRAGON TATTOO,” the third one said.
A user noted, “With each new photo i fall in love again ❤️.” Another one said, “SO PRETTY GIRLLLLL 😭😭😭.” “I guess she’s the new defence against the dark arts teacher this year at Hogwarts,” a comment read.
