Billboard Music Awards 2021 is nearly a month away and the pop music fandom is on an adrenaline high to get their faves the highly coveted 'Top Social Artist' and 'Top Collaboration' awards. BTS, the South Korean Grammy-nominated K-pop group, has been consecutive winners for the Top Social Artist since 2017. In 2021, the group hailed as the biggest musical act in the world, have been nominated again with K-pop powerhouse Seventeen, Blackpink, Ariana Grande, and the history-making Filipino music group SB19.

Along with the Top Social Artist Award of BBMAs, 'Top Collaboration' is also awarded based votes by fans. In 2021, the nominees are 24kGoldn ft. iann dior for 'Mood', Gabby Barrett ft. Charlie Puth for 'I Hope', Chris Brown & Young Thug for 'Go Crazy', DaBaby ft. Roddy Ricch for 'ROCKSTAR', and Jack Harlow ft. DaBaby, Tory Lanez, & Lil Wayne for 'WHATS POPPIN'.

How to vote for BBMAs 2021?

For fan-voted categories, users can start rooting for their faves from May 10 by using relevant hashtags and more. Last year, BBMAs also opened the voting portal for fans through TikTok. To vote for your favorite K-pop icons, check the Billboard site. The winners are usually considered through the counting of overall social media presence and social engagement tracked by Billboard and its data partners.

For other categories like the Top Selling Artiste, Top Billboard 200 Album, and all other main categories, the winner will be based on fan interactions with music, including album and digital song sales, streaming, radio airplay, and social engagement, tracked by Billboard and its data partners, including MRC Data. This year's eligible chart period is from March 21, 2020 through April 3, 2021.

Where to watch

Billboard Music Awards 2021 will be held at Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles on NBC on Sunday, May 23 at 8 p.m. ET / 5 p.m. PT.

Host

Jonas Brothers' Nick will be hosting the much-anticipated award show. The list of presenters and more are yet to be announced by Billboard.
