MEMPHIS, TENNESSEE: Big Scarr died on Thursday, December 22, with no official confirmation of the same until Gucci Mane posted on his social media remembering the late rapper. Scarr was signed to Mane's label '1017 Records'. He was preparing to go on one of the biggest tours of his career in 2023 - Glockoma Tour 2023. The up-and-coming rapper died as a result of a fatal prescription pain med OD as per a relative, reported TMZ.
The rapper's uncle, Arthur Woods, told that Scarr overdosed on Thursday, December 22, on prescription pills at his girlfriend's house in Memphis. as per TMZ. Big Scarr's uncle claims he was unaware of the timing of his nephew's receipt of the medications, but he claims the 22-year-old Memphis rapper had to deal with various horrific events throughout his life, including being shot in the hip and being seriously hurt in a vehicle accident. However, Arthur does not know how Scarr got a hold of the pills. His traumatic experiences are also mentioned on his website. Scarr has performed in the same line-up as Nicki Minaj, A$ap Rocky, Future, Lil Baby, 21 Savage, and more.

Ironically, Alexander Woods got the name Big Scarr after he survived a car accident at the age of 16 which left a big scar on his body. Scarr reportedly went flying through the windshield. Following this, he was struck by a bullet in 2020 that traveled up his spine. Eventually, his appendix had to be removed to avoid complications. Arthur also claimed that the rapper suffered depression and his grandmother's death was something that was hard for Scarr to deal with. Law enforcement has previously claimed that there are no signs of foul play. Scarr's manager, Jay, remembered him in a string of Instagram stories.
She wrote, "Forever & ever. You know my heart broke kid. You know y'all my heart You know you mean the world to me. My Alex. My Pal. My baby brother. My family. We supposed to be for like skud. You had your whole life ahead of you baby boy. How you do this to Jay (crying face). You a blessing to soooo many people you got the world in pain kid. I'm in pain. You know I don't cry gang. I know what was on your heart. I know you'd want us to keep going and that's exactly what's going to go on. It's cant rain forever."
