'Big Mouth' Season 4: Release date, plot, cast, trailer and all you need to know about Netflix's hit animated show

This time around, our favorite bunch of 8th graders are on their way to camp. And with Coach Steve in charge, what all can we expect to happen there?

Animated dramedies are dime a dozen. But rarely does one do better than Netflix's hit show 'Big Mouth'. Returning for its new fourth season early this month, 'Big Mouth' is bringing new developments in the lives of the 7th graders we have been following. So far, 'Big Mouth' offered keen insight on a variety of issues like peer pressure, sexual abuse, homosexuality, masturbation and whatnot. This time around, our favorite bunch of 8th graders are on their way to camp. And with Coach Steve in charge, what all can we expect to happen there?

Here's everything you need to know about the upcoming new season.

Release date

'Big Mouth' returns with Season 4 on December 4, 2020, on Netflix. 

Plot

According to the official synopsis, "On the brink of eighth grade, the friends contend with summer camp torments, shady alter egos, new make-out frontiers and Tito the Anxiety Mosquito."

Cast

'Big Mouth' boasts of a massive ensemble cast with creator Nick roll voicing the role of Nick Birch, along with many more characters including the inappropriate Hormone Monster Maurice, gym teacher Coach Steve, an old and decrepit hormone monster Rick, and the intense popular girl Lola. John Mulaney voices the character Andrew Glouberman and also voices Mint, Grandpa Andrew, Babe the Blue Ox, and Detective Florez. Jessi Klein voices Jessi Glaser and Jason Mantzoukas voices Jay Bilzerian.

So far Jenny Slate was lending her voice to the role of Missy, but following the Black Lives Movement, she has excused herself from playing a young black girl. In Season 4, Ayo Edebiri plays Missy Foreman-Greenwald. Meanwhile, Fred Armisen voices Elliot Birch, Maya Rudolph voices Connie the Hormone Monstress and Diane Birch. 

Creators

Created by Kroll, Andrew Goldberg, Mark Levin, and Jennifer Flackett, 'Big Mouth' is based on a lot of Kroll and Goldberg's childhood. Growing up together, they faced the same issues that their animation namesakes do on the show. The other characters are inspired by the people who they grew up with.

All episodes of Season 4 of 'Big Mouth' will be available to stream on Netflix on December 4, 2020. The first three seasons are currently streaming on the site.
