Almost 700,000 tweets about Beyoncé in a matter of hours sounds about right. The pop star trended on Twitter because she teamed up with Megan Thee Stallion for a surprise remix of her hit song ‘Savage’. The original song by Megan that was released on April 7 has already climbed to No. 6 on Rolling Stone’s Top 100 Songs chart. And now Beyoncé added to the mix with two full verses as well as backing vocals to the track. What more can fans ask for?

With kicka** verses like “But I got this fatty ready just for you / Girl, I hope you don’t catch me messin’ ‘round with you / Talkin’ to myself in the mirror like ‘B****, you my boo’ / I’m the shit, ooh,” and “Queen B, want no smoke with me (Okay) / Then turn this motherf***** up 800 degree / Team eat, chef’s kiss, she’s a treat / Oh, she so bougie, bougie, bon appetit,” Beyoncé has sent fans on a frenzy.

Beyoncé references the Instagram live stream stripper performance series ‘Demon Time’, the subscription pornography platform Only Fans, Tik Tok, and more, and all for a good cause. Both Stallion and Beyoncé hail from Houston, Texas, and the two have announced that they will donate their share of proceeds from the song to Bread of Life, Inc., a local organization providing meals for those in need.

It’s also worth noting that fans haven’t had a new Beyoncé jam since her last release in 2019, ‘Homecoming: The Live Album’. Naturally, everyone’s talking about her. The official Twitter account for ‘The Good Place’ shared a scene from the show where Tahani (Jameela Jamil), the name-dropping British socialite, can be seen bragging about being friends with her. The tweet said, “You could say Tahani is well-acquainted with Beyoncé.”

Fans even went so far as to claim: “Beyoncé is one of the greatest rappers alive. Let's have THAT conversation.” Others claimed, on a similar note, “Beyoncé is not overrated. She is rated. And rated high.” Expressing what many were thinking about, a fan wrote, “I admire Beyoncé's psychic abilities to always drop music right when we need it the most.”

Kalen Allen of 'The Ellen Show' wrote, "Why Beyoncé take over this girl song like this! I mean these vocals are giving me Destiny’s Child/Dangerously in Love vibes!"

A fan of Megan Thee Stallion wrote, "Megan said she went to see Beyonce when she was 5 years old, and now she’s on a whole record with her. [I don't know] what’s more impressive, the fact that Megan manifested this collab or that Bey is still just as relevant if not more 20 years later."

The trend and everyone's general behavior can be summed up with this one tweet: "I really love how EVERYBODY gets excited when Beyoncé drops something... it’s like it’s Christmas."

But beyond that, there was also love on the internet for Megan Thee Stallion. A fan wrote, “Megan Thee Stallion managed to collaborate with Nicki Minaj, Beyoncé, and Juicy J BEFORE her debut album dropped. That girl is on a serious winning streak.”
