CONNECTICUT, UNITED STATES: 'Real Housewives of New York' alum Bethenny Frankel has made her stand on Gwyneth Paltrow's trial very clear. In a recent Instagram post, the 'RHONY' alum declared that she is sure Gwyneth is telling the truth about the skiing accident. She has gone on to add that people can hate for her or like her for saying this, but this is her opinion.

Gwyneth is on trial for a skiing accident in 2016. She was accused of "slamming" into a former optometrist at Deer Valley Resort in Utah. Dr Terry Sanderson, 76, filed a lawsuit against Gwyneth in January 2019, alleging she hit him from behind and skied down Bandana Mountain. But Bethenny believes the Oscar-winning actress's story and testimony and said, "I believe it was a smash and grab job and she didn't realize that he was injured."

Bethenny Frankel claims Gwyneth Paltrow is being honest

'RHONY' alum has spoken in defense of Gwyneth as the latter is currently being sued by a retired optometrist for hurting him in a skiing accident. Bethenny has claimed that she believes Gwyneth is "telling the truth." She also shared that she thinks Gwyneth was hit by Sanderson in the accident and was worried about herself so didn't realize the injuries he had sustained.

Bethenny said that the public can hate her and hate Gwyneth for saying it. She added, "I think she is telling the truth, I think it was a smash and grab job. Everybody has all their opinions when it's the court of public opinion. Just like in every other trial until the moment they get on the stand remember Jhonny and Amber, she was the victim until they get to the trial. So I believe Gwyneth Paltrow is telling the truth as are the people around her."

She also added that because Gwyneth is the public figure, she is the target and went on to say that Snaderson's team is "floundering and failing." Bethenny even further said, "Just because you hate her doesn't mean she is lying on the stand."

What was Gwyneth Paltrow's testimony in Utah ski accident trial?

Gwyneth's trial is scheduled to last eight days, with each party having four days to present their case. Sanderson is suing for "more than $300,000" in damages, while Paltrow is suing for $1 and attorney fees. Sanderson has claimed that Gwyneth crashed into him, resulting in him having broken ribs and a concussion. His attorney has also claimed Gwyneth skis in a "risky fashion."

Both sides are trying to convince the 10-member jury that the other person crashed into them. In her testimony, Gwyneth has claimed that she felt "violated" during the crash and alleged that Sanderson crashed into her behind as she was going downhill and he did so slowly. “I was skiing and two skis came between my skis, forcing my legs apart and then there was a body pressing against me and there was a very strange grunting noise,” Gwyneth said.

When Sanderson's attorneys asked whether she inquired about his injuries at any point, she claimed that when you are the victim your brain doesn't think about others. Gwyneth also claimed Sanderson's friend Greg Ramone's testimony is false and said, "If you have two people in ski gear with helmets on and you’re 40-plus feet away, I’m not sure how you can discern who is who and I can tell you that he didn’t because Mr Sanderson categorically hit me on that ski slope and that is the truth.”
