Gwyneth Paltrow draws comparisons to Jeffrey Dahmer after wearing ‘serial killer’ glasses at ski crash trial
SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH: Actress Gwyneth Paltrow was mocked on social media for her choice of aviator-style reading glasses, which some likened to those worn by notorious killer Jeffrey Dahmer. Paltrow, 50, wore these glasses along with a cream-colored knit sweater and tweed harem pants on the opening day of a trial related to a 2016 hit-and-run ski crash involving a retired optometrist in Utah.
Apparently, Dahmer also referred to as the Milwaukee Cannibal was a notorious serial killer and sex offender. He committed the heinous acts of murdering and dismembering 17 men and boys over a period spanning from 1978 to 1991. In his 1991 mugshot, he was seen sporting glasses similar to the ones worn by Paltrow during her attendance at the trial.

'Gwyneth Paltrow meets Jeffrey Dahmer'
Several individuals compared Paltrow's glasses at the trial to that of Dahmer on social media and were quick to troll her. One Instagram user remarked, "I like her serial killer vibe," while another wrote, "Gwyneth Paltrow meets Jeffrey Dahmer." Another user commented, "Photos make her look like a serial killer. Geez," and yet another said, "Dahmer Effect."
In addition to these comments, trolls on Twitter also roasted Paltrow. One user said, "Gwyneth Paltrow is literally going for the #Dahmer look at this ski accident trial... wtf? Not very on brand for @goop," referring to Paltrow's high-end wellness and lifestyle brand, Goop. Another tweet joked, "These are exactly the kind of 1980s aviator specs you should wear when being sued by a retired optometrist." Twitter user @thedailycrabbie added, "Gwyneth Paltrow showed up for court wearing the most 'I'm an evil rich c-word' glasses you're going to see," while @missy2938 said, "They're broadcasting the Gwyneth trial??!!! How did I not know this!! Those glasses."

'Full-body blow'
Paltrow was sued by Terry Sanderson in 2019, who claimed that she crashed into him while skiing down a mountain at Deer Valley Resort in Park City, UT. Sanderson suffered a concussion and broken ribs as a result of the collision. He also alleged that the instructor filed a false report blaming him to shield Paltrow from culpability. The 'Goop' founder then countersued him in 2021 after alleging that he delivered a "full-body blow" after he rammed her. At present, Sanderson is seeking damages exceeding $3.1 million from Paltrow.
During her ongoing trial, it was revealed that Paltrow allegedly collided with a 72-year-old retired optometrist, leaving him unconscious in the snow before leaving the scene. Greg Ramone, who was skiing with the alleged victim Sanderson, testified that Paltrow hit Sanderson directly in the back, and he was the sole witness to the collision. Paltrow, who has denied hitting Sanderson, claims to be the actual victim of the crash. The trial is anticipated to last eight days.
