CONNECTICUT, UNITED STATES: Bethenny Frankel had a few choice words for those criticizing Gwyneth Paltrow's famous bone broth breakfast. The former 'Real Housewives of New York' star asked her followers in a video posted to her Instagram account why anyone cares if the 50-year-old actress "drinks bone broth for breakfast and intermittent fasts."

In an interview with Dr Will Cole for 'The Art of Being Well' podcast earlier this week, Gwyneth revealed that her diet consisted primarily of veggies and bone broth. This revelation triggered a strong backlash on the internet. But the 'RHONY' star has extended her support to Gwyneth regarding her diet as well as her wellness brand Goop

'Why care?' Bethenny Frankel comes to Gwyneth Paltrow's defense

The 'RHONY' alum has sided with Gwyneth amidst her bone broth diet controversy as she reminded the viewers, "This is the woman that does cupping and ozone therapy up the a*s and only ate macrobiotic for years until she got pregnant and then she ate meat, which caused an uproar." She also questioned why anyone cares what she does. The reality star continued, "She has a wellness website and she's all about açaí and wheatgrass and chia and making money hand over fist on all of it."

"You can't expect a dog to be a cat," the entrepreneur said, adding, "Her base is middle-aged moms. Her base isn't tweens. So when people are talking about eating disorders - my daughter doesn't know who Gwyneth Paltrow is! It's not for 18 years olds, it's for moms."

This wasn't the end. Bethenny also defended Gwyneth's brand Goop and pointed out that people wait for her to release quirky products so that they can buy them as she said, "Gwyneth will release a candle called this candle smells like bone broth and so does my vagina and we're waiting for that so we can pour more money into the Goop universe."

Bethenny concluded her rant with, "I'd say Gwyneth Paltrow can't win for losing but she seems to be winning because her brand is doing pretty f**king well."

'Ozone rectum therapy'

Gwyneth is well known for engaging in a lot of weird antics in the name of wellness. Her company Goop has advised home coffee enemas, eight days of drinking only goat milk to kill parasites, and purging yourself of negative energy by donning frequency-healing stickers or sprinkling your surroundings with gem-infused vampire repellent.

Gwyneth recently revealed on Dr Will Cole's podcast, "I have tried ozone therapy, rectally." This therapy is used to boost the oxygen level in the body as well as for cell regeneration, reducing inflammation and overall strengthing the immune system. But the drawback is that in order for this to be useful, the ozone gas has to be used in a quantity that is harmful to humans, still, the actress has claimed that it worked for her.

Well, it's not that shocking as Gwyneth's brand is famous for its controversial practices. It has been involved in a dispute with NASA as it has claimed that its Body Vibes stickers used "NASA space suit material" and NASA outright denied this. Goop has also been involved in millions of dollars worth of lawsuits and the UK's National Health System went as far as labeling them quacks, charlatans, and cranks. In 2018, their Vaginal eggs were the center of a lawsuit for $145,000 and then its Netflix documentary titled 'Goop Labs' received backlash for promoting misleading claims, however, Gwyneth's brand is resilient and is still standing strong.
