Ben Affleck reveals how 'brilliant' Jennifer Lopez helped him understand fashion during 'Air' shooting
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Ben Affleck gushed about how his wife, Jennifer Lopez, had helped him understand fashion for his newest film 'Air'. The film 'Air' explores the history of Michael Jordan's association with Nike and is both directed and starred by Ben Affleck.
When asked about how Lopez affected the screenplay in a recent interview, he enthused, "Oh my God, she's brilliant." He added, "She is incredibly knowledgeable about the way fashion evolves in entertainment and dance."

"[Lopez] helped me in talking about the way in which a part of the reason why Jordans were so meaningful is because culture and style in America is 90 percent driven by Black culture," Affleck told the Hollywood Reporter. "Black culture has historically pioneered music, dance, fashion, and it’s then been stolen, appropriated, remarketed as Elvis or whatever. And in this case, [Nike], a white-run corporate entity, was starting to do business with African American athletes in an identity affiliation sales thing," the actor and director stated. "They were really taking value from what Michael Jordan represents and who he is. I don’t think the meaning can be overstated. They’re going to switch from, 'Hey, guys, we are a nice shoe,' to 'If Mike has it, you want it.'"

The Michael Jordan and Nike biopic will be hitting theaters on Wednesday, April 5, 2023. The movie will take a place on the bench at Prime Video where it can be streamed after enjoying a large theatrical release all around the world. Affleck co-wrote the script for 'Air' with Matt Damon, therefore marking the movie as a debut of Artists Equity, the production business for the dream team. The basketball player and his family will fight for an equal piece of the pie alongside the company's top executives, with his incredibly supportive mother by his side.
