Ben Affleck pauses for coffee break with 11-year-old son Samuel at Starbucks during LA outing
BRENTWOOD, CALIFORNIA: Ben Affleck ditched on his favorite coffee brand Dunkin' Donuts and grabbed a Starbucks drink while taking a walk with his son Samuel, 11, in Brentwood, California, on Wednesday, March 22. The 50-year-old was spotted enjoying a Starbucks frappuccino while Samuel sipped on what appeared to look like a strawberry drink. The father-son duo was also accompanied by the actor's mother Christopher Anne Boldt.
The Oscar winner stuck to his signature casual fits as he stepped out in a white t-shirt under a blue cardigan sweater under a unique blue coat. Affleck sported a trimmed beard and was pictured chatting on the phone during the entire stroll. He completed his ensemble with a pair of black jeans and white Air Jordan sneakers. His son Samuel, for his part, wore a green t-shirt under a white basketball jersey along with blue basketball shorts and red sneakers. Affleck's mother sported a dark blue coat, grey sweats, and green sneakers as she walked along with the actor and his son for the outing on Wednesday.

Will Affleck direct for James Gunn's DC?
Only a day before, Affleck was seen promoting his upcoming film ‘Air’ along with actor Matt Damon in New York City. While speaking candidly with The Hollywood Reporter last week, Affleck opened up about whether or not he'd be interested in directing a DC movie under the new regime guided by James Gunn and Peter Safran. "I would not direct something for the (James) Gunn DC. Absolutely not. I have nothing against James Gunn. Nice guy, sure he’s going to do a great job. I just wouldn’t want to go in and direct in the way they’re doing that. I’m not interested in that," Affleck explained.
'I tried to fit myself into a Batman'
The ‘Gone Girl’ actor added that superhero stories like 'Justice League' have, "became somewhat repetitive to me and less interesting," while admitting he did finally "figure out how to play" Batman in his appearance in 'The Flash'. "I nailed it in The Flash. For the five minutes I’m there, it’s really great. A lot of its just tone," Affleck said before adding, "You’ve got to figure out, what’s your version of the person? Who is the guy that fits what you can do? I tried to fit myself into a Batman. And by the way, I like a lot of the stuff we did, especially the first one, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice."
