'Below Deck': Will Captain Lee fire Shane and Izzy? Fans want show's 'weakest links' to stop being so slow

Fans are left wondering why the two are so slow at their jobs and some even slammed Shane for focusing a lot more on yoga rather than his work

'Below Deck' has returned with Season 8 and this year, Captain Lee Rosbach is getting a whole new crew. Kate Chastain has left but he's glad to have Eddie Lucas back who announced his exit from the show after a controversial Season 3. But will his presence be enough to get the yacht going? 

Shane Coopersmith and Isabelle 'Izzy' Wouters seem fairly new to the yachting business and are finding it a little tough to adjust to the fast-paced environment of My Seanna. However, deckhand Shane is relaxed about it and is spending most of his time doing yoga, meditating and replacing plastic straws with paper ones. Izzy, on the other hand, is slow, something chief stewardess Francesca Rubi has noticed on day one of the charter. She couldn't work the bar and served breakfast to Captain Lee almost 30 minutes after he ordered it.

As she and Lee reviewed the performances, Francesca pointed out that Izzy needs some guidance and she'll be fine. Even though the Captain acknowledged her point, he was quick to point out that training on such jobs often gets difficult. 

Meanwhile, fans worry that Shane and Izzy may be fired soon and that they are the weakest links of the show. "@BravoTV why is this chick working on the yacht? Slow as hell and complains. I see a boot in her future if she dont step it up cause Capt Lee don't play #BelowDeck," a fan commented. Another pointed out, "#BelowDeck No way Izzy and yoga boy making it until the end of the season. Nope. He hasn’t done anything but flirt, cut paper straws and do yoga. And my god 32 min for a coffee and a bowl of cereal Izzy? I have a broken foot and coxyxx and can get mine done faster!"

"@capthlr Shane, you ARE the weakest link. #BelowDeck Step it up man. Paper straws won’t save your job. Turtles yes, but keep you off the unemployment line, no," an influencer tweeted, a thought which was echoed by several viewers.

"#BelowDeck Shane is green and Izzy is frazzled and sweaty and slow," one wrote, another shared: "Weak links so far are Shane & Izzy... #BelowDeck."
