Netflix locks ‘XO, Kitty’ Season 3 release date and first-look photos hint at Kitty’s big moment with Min-ho
Netflix has officially announced when ‘XO, Kitty’ will return. It has been revealed that Season 3 of the fan-favorite romantic comedy series is set to premiere on April 2. Along with the date, the streaming platform released a batch of first-look images teasing what’s next for Kitty and her circle of friends at the Korean Independent School of Seoul, better known as KISS. The show first arrived in 2023 as an offshoot of the wildly popular ‘To All the Boys’ film trilogy. It shifted the spotlight from Lara Jean to her younger sister, Kitty.
For years, Kitty had been the clever side character. Then suddenly, she was the one at the center of the story, boarding a plane to South Korea as an exchange student and chasing a long-distance crush that didn’t exactly go according to plan. Anna Cathcart stepped into the lead role, trading in sidekick energy for full-on main character chaos. Now, as Season 3 approaches, graduation is looming. Senior year has arrived. There are big decisions to be made and bigger feelings to navigate through. The newly released images hint at where things might be headed, especially after that tense Season 2 finale. Viewers will remember that Kitty was extremely close to telling Min-ho how she truly feels about him. Like, inches away.
Now, one of the fresh stills shows Kitty gazing at Min-ho in a way that feels soft and loaded with meaning as he looks into her eyes, smiling softly. But has she actually confessed her feelings by that point? Netflix is keeping that part under wraps. Other snapshots give fans glimpses of the wider friend group. Min-ho is seen leaning casually against a doorframe, cool as ever. Juliana Porter and Pra Veena appear smiling from ear to ear, and another image sees Kitty and Yuri Han strapped into a roller coaster.
Jin and Quincy “Q” Shabazian are also seen sitting across from each other at a restaurant table. There’s even a party scene with beer pong in full swing, because what’s senior year without at least one questionable decision? And then there’s a group photo with smiling faces all around. Season 3 will focus on Kitty’s final year at KISS, a time when everything is supposed to feel exciting and hopeful. The season could be full of college applications, discussions about future plans, and maybe love that finally makes sense. But according to Netflix, those carefully mapped-out dreams won’t stay neat for long.
Surprising discoveries threaten to shake up her relationships and disrupt the goals she had for herself. In other words, nothing is simple. Cathcart returns alongside a familiar lineup of co-stars, including Sang Heon Lee, Gia Kim, Minyeong Choi, Regan Aliyah, Sasha Bhasin, Joshua Lee, Han Bi Ryu, Jocelyn Shelfo, Sunny Oh, Peter Thurnwald, Philippe Lee, Michael K. Lee, and Hojo Shin. Season 2 left fans hanging with unresolved tension between Kitty and Min-ho, and it’s been more than a year since those episodes dropped in January 2025. Now there’s finally a date circled on the calendar.
