'Below Deck Med’ love triangle threatens to erupt as Elena Dubaich warns Bri Muller over deckhand dabble
ATHENS, GREECE: The current season of 'Below Deck Mediterranean' is already proving to be filled with intense crew romances as relationships begin to develop, creating a whirlwind of drama and intrigue within just a few episodes.
During the fourth episode of 'Below Deck Mediterranean' Season 9, tensions escalated between second stewardess Elena "Ellie" Dubaich, third stewardess Bri Muller, and senior deckhand Joe Bradley.
The drama unfolded as Bri and Joe's interactions during a crew night out sparked suspicion and jealousy among the crew members.
Talking of Bri and Joe, Ellie clarified, "I'm not jealous of Bri flirting with Joe, but she knows I'm attracted to him. I've said it to her multiple times. We're roommates, and as a general rule [when] working on a boat, you never want to go for the guy your supervisor is interested in."
Not long after, the situation took an unexpected turn as Bri became aware of Ellie and Joe engaging in flirtatious behavior as well. The dynamics of the group shift once again, adding a new layer of tension and complexity to the situation.
Bri's initial feelings of jealousy and insecurity heightened as she navigated the evolving dynamic between herself, Ellie, and Joe.
Bri quietly confided in chef Johnathan Shillingford, expressing her frustration because she desired him. "I'm just annoyed. Because I just want him," she said.
'Below Deck Mediterranean' Season 9 stars Bri Muller and Elena Dubaich show interest in Joe Bradley
The love triangle between the trio was hinted at in 'Below Deck Mediterranean' Season 9 Episode 2, as both Bri and Ellie admitted to having feelings for the deckhand, Joe.
Bri described Joe as "charming" and knowing exactly how to make a good impression, meanwhile, Ellie noted his "charisma and attractiveness." In Episode 3, Bri and Ellie had a conversation about potential romantic connections on the boat.
Bri told Ellie, "You need to teach me how to be flirty and how to be seductive as f**k."
After forming a pact to be each other's wing-woman in the future, Bri reassured her friend that she didn't have a specific person in mind that she was interested in.
However, in a private interview, she revealed a different truth. Bri confessed to Joe, acknowledging her attraction to the deckhand, before Ellie interjected in her own interview, asserting that she undeniably feels a strong connection with him.
"He is the guy I want," Ellie declared.
"Usually, when I set my eyes on a guy, he's already interested in me, so I just need to give him the green light. That's the way it goes," she continued.
'Below Deck Med' Season 9 star Elena Dubaich reveals she 'hasn't spoken to Joe since the show started airing'
In a recent conversation with Reality Tea, Ellie shared that she decided to create some distance between herself and Joe due to his unacceptable behavior. However, she expressed her deep affection for her 'Below Deck Med' girls.
“I have not [spoken to Joe since the show started airing]. I distanced myself from Joe a couple of months ago,” Ellie told the media outlet.
The Bravo star went on to say, “I’m not going to go into that because I don’t want to affect anybody’s perception of him, but I just don’t agree with his behavior. Playing with women like that and not having an issue with that is just a poor character trait that I don’t want to associate with.”
Despite their rivalry on 'Below Deck Med,' Elena still looks at Bri fondly.
“Even for Bri and I, [coming together] is still to come in the future. I definitely support women. I think we always need to stand together and I will one hundred per cent support my girls no matter what," she further added.
'Below Deck Mediterranean' Season 9 releases new episodes every Monday at 9 pm ET on Bravo.
