Can anyone forget how the 2020 ‘Start up’ series fame Bae Suzy stole hearts? After her splendid acting with the male lead, the chemistry and her visuals, Bae Suzy marked her comeback in 2020. Sadly, after that, fans did not see her in any K-drama. But no worries because Suzy is back with a new series after two whole years!

Bae Suzy will play the lead in the new Netflix series 'The Girl Downstairs', according to reports from March 10. When the news came out, Suzy’s agency SOOP responded, stating, “Suzy is reviewing the offer to star in the Netflix series ‘The Girl Downstairs’.”

The popular Naver webtoon-based story ‘The Girl Downstairs’ is about an ex-idol Lee Du Na and a college freshman Lee Won Joon who find themselves living together in a shared apartment. The webtoon was created by Songah Min and it has more than 34 million views on the webtoon website. Bae Suzy has been offered the role of Lee Du Na, the lead vocalist of the girl group Dream Sweet, which has abruptly disbanded. Lee Du Na is currently a student at Minsong University, where she is a member of the Theater and Film Department. She is a volatile character with a stunning appearance and a distinct vibe.

Lee Jung Hyo, who has directed dramas such as 'Crash Landing on You', 'Life on Mars', and 'Romance is a Bonus Book', will direct 'The Girl Downstairs' drama. Additionally, Bae Suzy will also star in a 2022 series 'Anna' that centers around the lead Yoo Mi whose life flips with a small lie.

Fans have been spamming Twitter about how happy they are with the news. Suzy’s fans couldn’t resist addressing her as a "queen". One fan wrote, “Lets goo ma queen,” while another wrote, “The Queen is finally back!!!!😍." Another fan stated, “Wowwwww Perfect for Baeby Suzy, I'm very excited, can't wait to watch this..... #BaeSuzy As Lee Doona.”

Some fans have terribly missed her like this one user who tweeted, “YES PLEASEEE! I missed her so much from start up and I would love to see her play an ex celeb!!!
