CBS new comedy 'B Positive' follows a father named Drew (Thomas Middleditch) who finds out that he's in renal failure and is in need of a kidney donor. After he runs into Gina (Annaleigh Ashford), a friend from high school, he is presented with her voluntarily wanting to donate hers. What results, is an unexpected bond between the two making for a hilarious comedy.

Plot

The synopsis reads, "Recently divorced therapist Drew (Thomas Middleditch) is in need of a kidney donor when he runs into old high school classmate Gina (Annaleigh Ashford), who impulsively volunteers to donate hers in this Chuck Lorre and Marco Pennette comedy."

Ashford is known for her roles as Betty DiMello in 'Masters of Sex' (2013-2016), Paula Jones in 'American Crime Story' (2018-2021), and Crystal in 'Unicorn Store' (2017). Her recent works include 'Younger' (2019), 'Bad Education' (2019), 'Unbelievable' (2019), 'Evil' (2019), and 'The Good Fight' (2020). In 2013 she won a Clarence Derwent Award for Best Supporting Female (USA) and in 2018 she was nominated for a Gold Derby TV Award for 'American Crime Story' (2016) which she shared with her teammates.

Middleditch is known for his roles as Duncan in 'The Final Girls' (2015), Sam Coleman in 'Godzilla: King of the Monsters' (2019), Stratton Broker in 'The Wolf of Wall Stree' (2013), and Rookie Cop in 'The Kings of Summer' (2013). His most recent works include 'Zombieland: Double Tap' (2019), 'Silicon Valley' (2014-2019), 'Big City Greens' (2019-2020), 'Death Hacks' (2020), and 'Dream Corp LLC' (2020). In 2016, Middleditch was nominated for a Primetime Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series for 'Silicon Valley' for his role as Richard Hendricks. 

The rest of the cast includes Kether Donohue as Leanne, Sara Rue as Julia, Justin Baker as Brian, Adam Chambers as Paul, Kenny Cooper as Matt, Kamryn Kunody as Maddie, Andy Mackenzie as Don, Megan McNulty as Barb, Eliza Shin as a Nurse, Terryn Westbrook as Leslie and many more.

Creators

Marco Pennette serves as a writer for the series, with Chuck Lorre and Marco Pennette serving as executive producers.
