'Arrow' Season 8 Episode 5 'Prochnost' puts Oliver and Mia's relationship front and center with a beautiful daddy-daughter bonding story

Oliver's greatest regret since the first episode of the season was that he wouldn't get a chance to have a relationship with his kids. Seeing him finally getting to be a father to his children was a truly beautiful watch and we hope Oliver gets to spend a lot more time with them.

Mia Smoak (Katherine McNamara) has never had a chance to really get to know her father Oliver Queen / Green Arrow (Stephen Amell), mostly because he supposedly died a few months after she was born. But now that she's time-traveled to the present, Mia has a chance to finally bond with Oliver and that's really what 'Arrow' Season 8 Episode 5 'Prochnost' is all about.

Right from the opening scene, which showed Oliver training Mia, we get a lot of really fun moments between father and daughter. Mia is clearly a fighter on par with Oliver but there's still a certain childlike amazement in her eyes every time she sees her dad doing something cool.

The most hilarious moment between the two definitely has to be the scene where Oliver found out Mia used to be a cage fighter. Seeing him yelling "He met you where?!" when Mia's older brother William Clayton (Ben Lewis) mentioned her past was such a pure dad moment it both warms our hearts and makes us crack up with laughter.

'Prochnost' perfectly alternates between moments where Oliver and Mia are busy arguing and moments where they're just plain geeking out. Mia may not be as experienced as Oliver but she's clearly eager to learn every trick he knows, especially the way he escaped being tied up by dislocating his thumbs.

Episode 5's most touching moment between Oliver and his children was the scene where he told them they're still children in his eyes. It's just the sort of thing you'd expect a parent to say but it's so much more heartwarming coming from Oliver, a person whom no one ever expected to see in such a position.

Oliver's greatest regret since the first episode of the season was that he wouldn't get a chance to have a relationship with his kids. Seeing him finally getting to be a father to his children was a truly beautiful watch and we hope Oliver gets to spend a lot more time with Mia and William before his impending death in 'Crisis on Infinite Earths'.

'Arrow' Season 8 Episode 6 'Reset' will air on The CW on November 26.
