Popstar Ariana Grande is all set to drop her sixth studio album and she is super excited about it. No, we aren't the only ones saying this. The 27-year-old singer herself tweeted how she can’t wait to drop her new album. Ariana took to her official Twitter account to share the big news with her fans and captioned it, “I can’t wait to give u my album this month.” ‘The Way’ hitmaker hasn’t given any title to her upcoming album yet. The new project will be a follow-up to her 2019 album ‘Thank U, Next’ and before that, she had released her album ‘Sweetener’ in 2018.

Release date

The 27-year-old crooner posted a short video where we see can the singer’s hand typing on a neon green keyboard in slow motion. We could notice Ariana typing the word ‘Positions’ in to the keyboard which might be the name of her new album or maybe a single from her new project. 'The Way’ hitmaker also shared an Instagram story of a countdown which says “5 Days” and “12 Days”  from which we can assume that she might release the first single from her new record on October 23 and the full album on October 30.

Concept

Her 2019 album ‘Thank U, Next’ was based on her relationship and subsequent breakup with then-boyfriend Pete Davidson.  Ariana had also tweeted about a week ago about her new album where we could spot a few instruments in the background of the photo she posted.  The American crooner captioned the tweet as, “turning in these mixes and reminding u again to register to vote if u haven’t already / to vote early”

On September 15, 2020, Ariana had first teased her fans about her new album when she posted a 5-second video snippet where we can see a song being played on a screen that everyone assumed will be one of the new tracks from the album. She had simply captioned the tweet as, “brb”

Tracklist

The official tracklist of Ariana’s untitled album has not been revealed yet. So, yes, fans might have to wait a little more for the announcement. Circle back here, MEAWW will update you with the official tracklist as soon as the singer announces it.

According to NME, Ariana revealed in an interview with Apple Music’s Zane Lowe that she had a collaboration in the works with Doja Cat. She added that she was “obsessed” with Doja and that they had worked together on a song. Ariana also kept her fans entertained by dropping two chartbusters singles this year.
