Are V-Jennie photos leaked from outside Korea? Fans wonder why BTS, Blackpink's labels can't end it ASAP
SEOUL, SOUTH KOREA: Blackpink Jennie and BTS V (Kim Taehyung) dating rumor seems to be doing more damage to the two idols than fans would like it. From starting back in May of 2022 when a fake photo of V and Jennie was leaked online alleging that the two idols were dating and driving around Jeju Island, the BTS and Blackpink fandoms erupted into chaos. Now as the rumor grabs more attention online, fans are begging for HYBE (Big Hit Music) and YG Entertainment to release a statement about the situation.
On September 1, more alleged photos of BTS V and Blackpink Jennie were leaked online. Upon inspection, it was revealed that fans had never seen the individual images before which led fans of both idols to conclude that the two members of BTS and Blackpink indeed are dating and that V-Jennie's privacy is being invaded by trolls hacking into the idols' iCloud storage. Fans are led to believe that these hackers are probably from outside South Korea which is making it difficult for both labels to find them and investigate them sooner.

Fans wonder who is behind the V-Jennie leaks
With more photos of BTS V and Blackpink Jennie leaking online which was intially started by Twitter user @gurumiharibo. With no response from HYBE or YG Entertainment's curt statement which did not reveal anything, fans of BTS took it upon themselves to expose the user. After a fan's conversation with the user, it was revealed that @gurumiharibo was not a hacker but was someone who edits photos. The user also spoke fluent English which meant that it is highly likely that they are from outside South Korea.
After @gurumiharibo, a known hacker on Instagram under the username, @rattailbot, revealed that the photos with Jennie and V posted by @gurumiharibo were edited as they released the original versions of the same. Now, a new user @theh0ttea releases more 'unseen' photos of the two idols, fans are worried about the safety of BTS V And Blackpink Jennie's privacy. Fans claim that HYBE and YG Entertainment are surely looking into it but claim that the reason why it is taking the two labels so much time to sort the issue is because the hackers are outside South Korea.
'It's going to be messy for a while'
Since breach of privacy rules are different across different countries, fans are unsure how long it will take before the labels finally catch the culprits behind the V-Jennie iCloud hack. One fan said, "This is not a small matter anymore, this is literally not about dating rumors. This is personal, cause why the f**k whould they hack J's iCloud just for a dating rumor that the artists and the company could deny? But HYBE and YG please f**king do something for your Artist's privacy!!" Another fan said, "Do you guys ever thought about getting stalked by someone for years or months, and your personal info got leaked, your social media account being hacked, photos being used and edited. Fking creepy fgs, I don’t even know how Jennie cope with these." Another fan said, "No like surely if there were hackers/forgers THIS dangerous and meticulous in korea they would've had access to one of the tannies' phones like ages ago."
One more fan wondered, "Genuine question: if the hacker is not in Korea, is yg still able to legally do something about it?" One fan said, "Could kpop idol commit a petition for their privacy right in South korea? That’s a true hell. Look at jennie case, Imagine there are stalkers following you closely for years, your dating pictures were posted again and again, then hacker steal your pic from cloud. And It’s not just jennie, there are lot of kpop idol or k actors who were invaded by these disgusing act." A fan said, "You all want the companies to take action, but it seems the hacker is not from korea so im not sure they can do much." One more fan said, "I'm pretty sure there's no public statement yet because it takes time for these things. Moreover, the hackers are not from South Korea so it's going to be messy for a while."
THIS IS NOT A SMALL MATTER ANYMORE, THIS IS LITERALLY NOT ABOUT DATING RUMOURS. THIS IS PERSONAL, CAUSE WHY THE FUCK WOULD THEY HACK J's ICLOUD JUST FOR A DATING RUMOUR THAT THE ARTISTS AND CONPANY COULD DENY? BUT HYBE AND YG PLEASE FUCKING DO SOMETHING FOR YOUR ARTISTS PRIVACY!!
