Apan Star Awards 2020 Full Winners List: Seo Ye Ji to Kim Soo Hyun and 'Itaewon Class' OST 'Sweet Night' by BTS V win big

Here's the list of all the winners at the prestigious awards event, which had top K-pop stars among the nominations list

The 2020 APAN Star Awards were held with much grandeur to celebrate the best of K-dramas and K-pop artistry. Organized by the Korea Entertainment Management Association (CEMA), the Apan Awards first started in 2012 and the tradition has continued throughout the years.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, the seventh APAN Star Awards was scheduled for November-December but had to be postponed to 2021. This year, the awards function will highlight the global cultural wave of K-dramas and K-pop which have received recognition worldwide.

NOMINATIONS

According to Korean media reports, this year Apan Star Awards has overall 18 categories highlighting the achievements of K-dramas. Here are the nominations for some of the main categories.

Here's the list of all the winners at the prestigious awards event, which had top K-Pop stars among the nominations list, including ‘Record of Youth’ star Park Bogum, ‘The World of the Married’ starring Park Hae-jun and ‘Alice’ actor Won Joo.

Popularity Award: Female

Seo Ye Ji

Popularity Award: Male

Kim Soo Hyun

Although he couldn't attend the event, he expressed his gratitude in a video saying, “I'm so happy. It feels more meaningful because it is the award received by the fans' vote. I should have thanked the fans who participated and voted, but it is regrettable to say hello through the video. I will prepare hard so that I can show you good acting.”

Another tweet congratulated Kim Soo Hyun and wrote, “Congratulations #KimSooHyun, for winning Popularity Award at #APANStarAwards2020 words can't describe how proud we are of you, how happy we are that we're able to be a part of this award as a way for us to welcome you back. We love you and we can't wait to see you at your work!”

Popularity Award: Best OST

'Itaewon Class' OST 'Sweet Night'

One tweet said, “Sweet Night by #V (@BTS_twt) for the drama “Itaewon Class” has won “Best OST” at Apan Star Awards! Congratulations Taehyung.”

Best New Actor

Jang Dong Yoon and Lee Do Hyun

One tweet read, “Congratulations to #LeeDoHyun and #JangDongYoon for winning the Best New Actor Award at the #APANStarAwards2020!”

APAN Star Awards kickstarted on January 23, 2021, at 6 PM KST with a star-studded red-carpet ceremony and the main event was followed at 8 PM KST.
