Apan Music Awards 2020: How to live stream, date, time and winners list including BTS, IU, Kim Taehyung, Kang Daniel and more
One of the most coveted South Korean award shows — APAN Music Awards 2020 — is all set to commence on January 24 at 8 pm KST, along with the APAN Star awards, on January 23, which recognizes the best in music, TV, film and other mediums of entertainments.
APAN Music Star Awards was originally scheduled for December but due to Covid-19 restrictions, it had to be rescheduled. This coming year, APAN awards will be held as a non-audience non-face-to-face event to prevent any sort of transmission. Fans can tune into the virtual event by obtaining tickets for both shows. For the global audience, subtitles will also be provided on the screen.
For all of the popular categories, voting has already ended and among the winners, BTS takes home the best male group award while BTS member V has won an individual award for producing the Best OST ('Sweet Night' for Netflix series 'Itaewon Class'). Kang Daniel has snagged both the Best Male solo award along with the Best Male Global Solo award while IU has been crowned as the Best Female Solo Artist.
BLACKPINK has snatched the Best Female Global Group while SEVENTEEN has been given the title of Best Male Global Group. The list of attendees has not been revealed yet so fans are wondering if their favorite groups will be attending the show.

APAN music awards drew flak earlier this week for cropping out the picture of BTS member V in a promotional teaser. A fan group wrote on Twitter, “Admin: The interpark website uploaded two promotional posters for APAN Star Awards 2020 with Taehyung missing in the 2nd one. Help us send them feedback about this both on instagram & facebook so APAN can fix it immediately.”
Another fan wrote, “Seriously...is that really too hard for them to count to 7.” Another enraged fan wrote, #BTSis7APAN MUSIC AWARDS HAS TO GET IT'S S*IT TOGETHER! BTS IS 7 S-E-V-E-N NOT S-I-X RESPECT KIM TAEHYUNG! RESPECT V! RESPECT BANGTAN!” Later, the site was updated with the correct image which included all seven members of BTS.

Blackpink fans have alleged the award show to be rigged for not including Blackpink in their top 10 list. A fan wrote, “Blackpink has been proving in 2020 what they've been robbed of from the past years that it becomes an obvious joke if these award shows still keep on ignoring them. I bet MMA and hopefully MAMA learned better from AAA and APAN RIGGED AWARD SHOWS that blinks will not be silent.”
