Anuel AA has dropped his sophomore release, 'Emmanuel', a double album with a whopping 22 tracks in total featuring an impressive list of guest artists including Lil Wayne, Bad Bunny, Ozuna, Daddy Yankee, Karol G, J Balvin, Enrique Iglesias, Travis Barker and many more. The album was originally slated for an April release but was postponed due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

The title 'Emmanuel' draws from Anuel's own name, which means 'God with us'. The album includes the rapper and singer's hit single 'China', though tracks 'Me Gusta' (featuring Shakira), 'No Me Ame' (featuring Rvssian and Juice WRLD), and '3 de Abril' were notably missing from the lineup. Speaking about the album in an interview with Billboard, Anuel stated, "I wanted the album to have that good vibe. It’s my life, made into music."

'Emmanuel' is already receiving rave reviews from fans. "I did not expect anuel’s album to be this good wtf," tweeted one user, another said, "@Anuel_2bleA new album lowkey got me in my feels but then feeling myself," and one user stated, "Anuel went 23 for 23." Fans were also naturally hyped up for all the features on the album. One tweeted, "Anuel really did a track with Enrique Iglesias my bb," while another shared, "Anuel and Lil Wayne S***ttt my 2 favorite artist!!!! You know that s**t on replay!!!" Another fan said, "Anuel really got Travis Barker playing the drums on his opening song... legendary," and one tweeted, "Anuel really had to start the album like that huh."

But it was two tracks featuring Bad Bunny that got people talking. "There’s 2 songs with Bad Bunny on Anuel’a album?!? ITS LIT," stated one fan, another tweeted, "As expected, Anuel’s songs with Bad Bunny are pure heat," and one shared, "Bad bunny & anuel went off again #EMMANUEL." Another fan said, "Anuel said a ella le gustan problemáticos because he know suma yall be defending your problematic ass boyfriends #EMMANUEL."

Some were quick to recollect the feud between the two artists, which stems from Anuel's allegedly homophobic comments directed at Bad Bunny after the latter dressed up in drag for his 'Yo Perreo Sola’ music video. In an Instagram story, Anuel shared, "I don’t want friends in the industry… you guys are weird as hell, fools & hypocrites. I can't go against my morals for business! I'm tired of masks, don't get close to me in any place y’all see me." Not long after, Bad Bunny tweeted a photo of himself in drag with his middle finger up, stating, "Even though the world is full of hate, always try to respond with love."

Many fans naturally came for Anuel following the two posts, calling him out and claiming they wouldn't be buying his music. But one fan joked, "I’m laughing bc the ones that were prob taking s**t about anuel are listening to his new album right about now, just bc he has 2 songs w Bad," adding, "Regardless ANUEL & BAD always throw straight fire whenever they are in a song together." Another fan revealed, "Yes I was talking mad s**t about anuel 2 weeks ago. Yes I am in the car listening to his album now having a good time."

Some fans thought the album was decent but preferred Bad Bunny's latest release, tweeting, "Anuel’s new album is good, some songs aren’t my favorite, but it doesn’t beat Bad Bunny’s YHLQMDLG." Another fan stated, "I f**k with Anuel bro, but bad bunny whole a whole lot hard. Bad bunny is the drake of latin music right now." Many, however, couldn't pick a favorite. "Anuel and BadBunny is like Messi and Cristiano, impossible to compare, one does not know who is better," tweeted one fan, while another said, "Ozuna, bad bunny, Anuel! change the reggaeton game forever! Don’t at me."

Fans were also quick to share their disappointment that the album was perfect for a summer that no one will get to enjoy. "How is Anuel gonna drop this banger of an album knowing damn well summer 2020 is canceled," asked one fan, while another said, "Coronavirus I’m going to need you to stop the bullshit so I can go see Anuel live."

Many who have had an issue with Anuel's problematic statements were not happy seeing him trending today, stating, "Not the tl hyping up Anuel like he isn't trash." Others weren't too happy with the album itself, claiming they expected better. "Damn that anuel album let me down big time," tweeted one dejected fan, while another said, "This Anuel album weak so far Fr fr." Some fans had other complaints: "I love Anuel but this album is sooooo long."
