LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Another terrifying video footage was released on Monday, August 9 showing actress Anne Heche racing her blue Mini Cooper down a narrow passageway and nearly hitting a pedestrian. The scene took place on Friday morning, August 5 just hours before crashing her car into a house in the 1700 block of Walgrove Avenue in West Los Angeles, igniting a 'heavy fire,' and was rushed to the hospital in critical condition.

Heche, who was severely burned in the crash on Friday and is now in critical condition, is seen speeding down a narrow alley painted in the same blue car. According to the video released by TMZ, the troubled 53-year-old actress races out onto the street before 11 am and comes within a mere foot of a pedestrian, who is left stunned by the incident.

Many reports suggest that the actress had downed vodka and wine before the crash. In her recent podcast 'Better Together' which was aired on the same day she was involved in the crash, Heche joked about 'drinking vodka with wine chasers' and 'having a bad day.' 

The LAPD had obtained a warrant to test the actress' blood to determine if she was under the influence of alcohol or drugs at the time of the accident. Cops believe Anne Heche was high on drugs and/or alcohol when she crashed into a garage and a house, sparking a massive fire. "The info we received this morning was a warrant that was obtained the same day as the traffic collision, which was Aug 5. The warrant was to draw blood, and an investigation is ongoing pending the blood test results," an LAPD representative told Page Six. He added, "If found intoxicated, [Heche] could be charged with misdemeanor DUI hit and run. No arrests have been made so far." 

Is Anne Heche OK? 

A representative for the Heche told Page Six that she is in a life-threatening situation. The source said, “Shortly after the accident, Anne Heche became unconscious, slipping into a coma." Her spokesperson continued, "She has a significant pulmonary injury requiring mechanical ventilation and burns that require surgical intervention."

Heche has been honest about her battles with substance misuse. She is also well known for her high-profile relationship with Ellen DeGeneres in the 1990s.

In an interview with ABC News in 2020, Heche revealed that she was molested by her father and said, "I drank. I smoked. I did drugs. I had sex with people. I did anything I could to get the shame out of my life."
