While the two appeared to be enjoying their time together at Nobu on Thursday, March 23, the purpose of the meeting is unknown.

The 'Maleficent' star was seen smiling as she strolled around the restaurant's premises alongside the British environmentalist, 44, reports Page Six. For the outing, Jolie opted for a black dress with cutouts that accentuated her midriff. She wore matching black high heels and sunglasses. Her dark hair was down and she wore a black overcoat. Her companion, Mayer de Rothschild, seemed to be in a good mood because he smiled briefly. The 6' 4'' businessman, who belongs to one of the richest families, was dressed casually and wore a gray shirt and a darker jacket. He also wore navy blue pants with black loafers and funky striped socks.

Business or pleasure?
