Andrew Tate explains why he does not believe in depression: ‘I am public enemy number 1'
BUCHAREST, ROMANIA: Andrew Tate recently discussed his time in a Romanian prison in an interview with Tucker Carlson. The influencer was detained on suspicion of human trafficking. Tate discussed various topics throughout the two-hour conversation, including his arrest, feelings of despair, and his view that pornography has become a widespread issue.
He said that if a man is not proud of himself and does not have pride in himself then how will he have a solid mentality. He mentioned that he genuinely teaches what helps in men’s mental health. He believes that a man’s self-respect is everything.
‘I am public enemy number 1’
“You can’t escape the battle. It is for all of us. That’s why I can’t be quiet and lose my self respect and dignity. I don’t think any man should be able to function without self respect and dignity. The reason men died on the Titanic was for self respect,” Tate said.
He further added, “I cannot be quiet and I am gonna say what I believe is true and I genuinely believe I am helping the world. I am the only genuine influencer who talks about making money. I am a little scared of the incompetence of my enemies and I believe I am public enemy number 1.”
“When I say depression isn’t real I am saying that because I don’t believe in things that can take away powerful men. If I believed in depression I would have been depressed in jail. If you don’t believe in ghosts how can you be horrified?” he said.

'I smoked cigarettes, did lots of push ups'
When Carlson questioned Tate about his time in jail, the influencer said that it was likely the hardest 92 days of his life since he wasn't sure how long he would spend in the cell.
“I stared at the wall, smoked cigarettes, did lots of push ups and read the Quran. Tried my best to get out and made sure people who I love are being taken care of. There are a lot of people who rely on me. I have got people to pay,” he said, adding, “I was trying my best to make sure everybody I love are fine. I wasn’t as powerful as I should have been and that was very upsetting especially if they are going to keep you there for years. However, I was always doing something constructive.”
