'America's Got Talent: The Champions' Season 2: Teen singer Angelina Jordan wins first golden buzzer

The 13-year-old jazz singer spun Queen's rock and roll song 'Bohemian Rhapsody' into a ballad and made it sound impeccable

Angelina Jordan from 'Norway's Got Talent' is the first contestant to win the golden buzzer this season, and fans cannot help but rave about her performance, saying she deserved it.

The 13-year-old Jazz singer sung her rendition of 'Bohemian Rhapsody' by Queen. She took the rock and roll song and spun into a ballad and made it sound impeccable.

'America's Got Talent: The Champions' Season 2 premiered on January 6 night, and we witnessed 10 acts among the 40 take to the stage and give it their best, hoping to make it all the way. 

Amongst the 10 contestants who performed, Angelina, who won 'Norway's Got Talent' at the age of seven, became the first contestant to win a golden buzzer this season.

Heidi Klum was so impressed with Angelina's magical performance that she pushed her golden buzzer for the jazz singer whose dream was to perform in front of Simon Cowell. 

Before she walked off stage, Cowell also told the young contestant, "I don’t think you know how good you are." It was surely her big moment, and now with her winning the first golden buzzer, Angelina has moved on to the finals.



 

Taking to Twitter after her performance, fans couldn't contain their excitement and shared their love for the singer claiming she deserved the win. "Angelina Jordan is a strong contender for AGT The Champions title this year. #AmericasGotTalent #AGTChampions," a fan shared. 

"@heidiklum #AGTChampions congratulations on your winning act of the season. Angelina Jordan deserved that Golden Buzzer, she’s a phenomenal singer," a fan wrote.

Another said, "@SimonCowell #AGTChampions OMG, Angelina it will take a lot of talent to top your song! Absolutely Devine young lady. You took a rock n roll song and broke it down into a ballad." 

"#AGTChampions Wow! Angelina Jordan is just wonderful! 13 and way beyond her years! Rewound twice just to hear her again," wrote a fan while another shared, "Angelina Jordan. Wow what a voice. Goosebumps. #AGTChampions she could win it all."
