If you've been keeping up with 'American Song Contest' this far, you know that you will be treated to a variety of genres from musicians from all across the country. While the show is a reality contest, it certainly celebrates diversity, with each singer bringing their own passion and flair to the stage.

Week 3 of 'American Song Contest' saw an eclectic range of performances from the states of Alaska, Louisiana, Florida, Texas and more. And among them is Northern Mariana Islands' very own Sabyu.

Representing Northern Mariana Islands was the artist, Sabyu. While his hometown is Saipan, Northern Mariana Islands, he currently resides in Olympia, WA. As per his NBC bio, -- "Matthew Sablan, known musically as Sabyu, is a Pacific Islander singer, songwriter, producer, engineer, artist mentor and multi-instrumentalist. He is known for his eclectic music style combining island roots and Stateside influences alike, blending reggae, rock, soul, hip-hop, funk, jazz and world music.

Sabyu mentors young artists with a Seattle-based non-profit, Totem Star, guiding aspiring youth along their own music journeys. He makes music to bring all walks of life together in the name of love, spirit and humanity, and wants to let everyone know that even if you come from a small island, you can make big waves around the world."

When it came down to his performance, fans were floored by his soothing vocals and chill vibe. "Sabyu gave us a beautiful blend of genres and with his silky voice chilled us out before we leave for the evening. I definitely have to head out to the Northern Mariana Islands!
