'She's trying to get his attention': Amber Heard still wants Johnny Depp in her life, psychologist claims
Amber Heard still wants her ex-husband Johnny Depp in her life, according to a psychologist. Cooper Lawrence, a psychotherapist and podcaster, believes Heard's op-ed and recent interview with Today's Savannah Guthrie is part of her efforts to stay in Depp's life.
Lawrence spoke on Heard's ‘whole purpose behind this’ on an Australian morning show 'Sunrise', saying, "Remember, they had divorced in 2017, things were over. She said, 'I want him to move on, I want to move on.' But then she wrote this article and she's been poking the bear ever since because she still wants him in her life—even if it's in a negative way. And here she is again. It's not healthy. They do have a toxic relationship and she clearly wants to continue it."

Following most of her dramatic testimony about the alleged abuse she suffered, a slew of critics accused her of pretending during her time on the stand. Lawrence, on the other hand, believes Depp's alleged intentions are not paid back, later adding, "I think he wants to have nothing to do with her. She's trying to get his attention. I don't think it's going to work this time." Earlier, Amber surprised a lot of people during her conversation with Savannah Guthrie by saying something that not even Johnny Depp would believe. Amber Heard was questioned directly if she still loved Johnny Depp despite everything, which caught everyone off guard. Amber replied, "Yeah, absolutely. I love him. I loved him with all my heart.”

"And I tried the best I could to make a deeply broken relationship work and I couldn't. I have no bad feelings or ill will towards him at all. I know that might be hard to understand or it might be really easy to understand if you've just ever loved anyone,” Heard added. Depp filed a defamation lawsuit against Heard after she wrote an op-ed for The Washington Post in which she identified herself as a victim of domestic abuse. The jury found both Heard and Depp responsible for defaming each other at the end of the trial, which received national attention. Following a six-week trial, the jury on June 1 awarded Depp $10 million in compensatory damages and $5 million in punitive damages.
