Johnny Depp gets 1.5M followers on TikTok within hours as fans ask for a 'Jack Sparrow video'
Johnny Depp scored a clear victory in court against Amber Heard, who had defamed him of domestic violence. And now he is staging a comeback after the legal victory. On Monday, June 6, the actor joined TikTok, where he has been a trending topic with his trial and relationship with his former wife, as he continues to tour with musician Jeff Beck.
As soon as Depp made his entry with a bio that reads ‘occasional thespian,’ his followers count went up to a quarter-million by the same evening, as per New York Post. Similar enthusiasm was seen when the actor jumped into Instagram on April 17, 2020. He racked up 1.9 million followers within just a few hours of his joining the handle. He began by posting a photo of himself in what appeared to be a candlelit cave and captioned, “Hello everyone… filming something for you now… gimme a minute.” The reports by New York Post further stated that the actor certainly wants to return to the silver screen and hopes his acting career will be revived in the coming future.
