AMAs 2019: Twitter drags Shawn Mendes and Camilla Cabello for winning best collab, calls Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga snub 'disrespectful'

Shawn Mendes and Camilla Cabello won the Collaboration of the Year at the 47th American Music Awards on Sunday evening, beating 'Shallow', which has been hailed as the most iconic duet of the year - and Twitter is not pleased.
"No hate to the song Señorita and to Shawn and Camilla, but Shallow is one of the BIGGEST song of this decade and did incredibly well. Adding to that shallow was a Grammy and Oscar wining song. The fact it didn’t win was robbery and disrespectful to Bradley and Gaga," one user wrote, "No hate to the song Señorita, but Shallow is one of the BIGGEST song of this decade and did incredibly well in charts etc. Adding to that shallow is a Grammy and Oscar-winning song. The fact it didn’t win best collaboration was robbery, real work isn’t truly recognized," another said.
'Shallow' was a clear favorite of music critics, who commended Gaga's vocals along with the song's composition and songwriting prowess, feeling it worthy of award nominations. It was the number 1 on different lists in more than a dozen countries and won the Academy Award for Best Original Song, the Golden Globe Award for Best Original Song, the BAFTA Award for Best Film Music and the Critics' Choice Movie Award for Best Song. It was nominated for four Grammys including Record of the Year and Song of the Year while winning for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance and Best Song Written for Visual Media.
"Senorita is a garbage song and did not deserve to win the ama for collaboration of the year when it was up against actual good songs," one user said, angrily while another took a jab at their relationship, speculating it was just for PR. "I don’t buy the whole Camila Cabello and Shawn Mendes relationship. They’re just faking it and it’s just a great PR stunt! #AMAs". Another said, "Listen, i am so f**king tired of this annoying mediocre senorita song bro, it’s not a good song, they’re gonna break up when they lose their grammy, and i feel bad for lil nas x and post malone."
