The 2020 American Music Awards had nominated three tracks under the category of Favorite Country Song including Dan + Shay and Justin Bieber's '10,000 Hours', Maren Morris' 'The Bones' and 'Nobody but You' by Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani. The award was presented by 'Dancing with the Stars' judge Derek Hough and was taken home by Dan, Shay and Justin Bieber for '10,000 Hours'.

Fans were thrilled to see the trio win the award and are congratulating them on Twitter for their well-deserved win. One tweeted, "Congrats to @DanAndShay for winning Favorite Country Song for "10,000 Hours"!!!!!!!! #AMAs #AMAs2020" while another added, "Congrats to @justinbieber and @danshay on winning an #AMAs   award for Favorite Country Song with 10,000 Hours"

However, some fans noticed that Dan and Shay didn't thank Bieber while receiving the award even though they collaborated on the song. One fan expressed, "Why didn’t Dan + Shay thank Justin Bieber in their acceptance speech?  #AMAs  #AMAs2020" and another added, "Dan&Shay should have thanked @justinbieber
at least since it is a collaboration lmao they got too excited #AMAs"

The 2020 American Music Awards is taking place at the Microsoft Theatre in Los Angeles. A production spokesperson told Rolling Stone that the event was expected fewer than 100 audience members owing to the pandemic while following the COVID-19 protocol rigorously.

The artistes reportedly have personal protection equipment on when they aren't performing while the dancers are all seen wearing masks. Despite the restriction, the starry night hosted by Taraji P Henson has witnessed a series of performances by Bebe Rexha and Doja Cat, Benny Blanco with Justin Biber and Shawn Mendes among many others.

While The Weeknd and Roddy Rich are leading with eight nods each, Megan Thee Stallion is next with five nominations. Meanwhile, Bad Bunny, DaBaby, Doja Cat, Justin Bieber, Lady Gaga and Taylor Swift are tied with four nominations each.

The event is using multiple stages with a separate crew for each one of them, who are required to socially distance with facial masks on.
