'The View' newbie Alyssa Farah Griffin dives into her phone during breaks to avoid engaging with co-hosts
NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Alyssa Farah Griffin is said to be avoiding socializing on the set of ‘The View’ amid her icy relationship with her co-hosts. The 33-year-old conservative journalist, who became a permanent fixture at the talk show with the debut of season 26, was reportedly seen buried in her phone to avoid engaging with other panelists during the commercial break.
The show's hosts - Alyssa, Whoopi Goldberg, Sara Haines, Joy Behar, Sunny Hostin, and Ana Navarro - keep their phones nearby on the table, but Farah seems to be "most focused" on her phone during the commercial break, a ‘The View’ insider told the Sun. "Every time the show cuts to a commercial, she's deep in her phone," the insider spilled of Alyssa’s off-camera activity. "It doesn't appear to be work-related since they have note cards in front of them that they read from."

"Maybe she's on social media or checking emails. Who knows!" the insider added. "It seems like she uses it though as a form of entertainment when she's not engaging with her co-hosts." The source also shared it could have something to do with Alyssa's close relationship with her husband, Justin Griffin. "[Alyssa is] obsessed with her husband!" the source dished. "She mentions him multiple times throughout the show, both on and off camera. That's all she talks about!" The former White House employee and Justin exchanged vows in November 2021 at a private sporting club in Vero Beach, Florida.
The former Trump aide’s off-camera habit was reported just two months after she was observed to be inactive during commercial breaks. In November, another source told the outlet that Alyssa apparently used her phone to avoid socializing with her co-hosts. "Every time the show went to a commercial break, she would quickly pick up her phone and start typing away. It seemed like she was using it as a form of distraction to avoid socializing with the other hosts," the eyewitness continued. "It came off as being cold like she had no interest in speaking to anyone else."
Earlier it was reported that Farah was "outcasted" and "ignored" by her co-hosts after the panelists engaged in a tense argument over politics. “When the first segment went to commercial break, Sunny faced away from Alyssa as the four women were turned towards Whoopi while talking,” the source said at that time. “Alyssa stared at the women as they were in conversation, but she eventually went on her phone and chatted with her makeup artist.”
