'Alter Ego' serves as a platform that allows contestants to shine authentically, without any prejudice or judgment attached to their looks. It is their chance to be themselves, unapologetically. For Kaylee Franzen from Nashville, she has always felt as though she has had to hide. Due to her insecurities regarding her body and looks, she has never had an opportunity to allow her talent to shine as it should.

Ready to show the world her talent, Franzen performed as her avatar, Aster and soon won over Alanis Morissette, Nick Lachey, Grimes, and will.i.am with her powerful performance. However, fans seemed to have felt differently. Continue reading to find out why fans online disagreed with the judges.

When it came to picking an avatar, Franzen had a clear vision in her mind, even down to her alter ego's name. As she explained it, she picked the name 'Aster' because it was her birth flower and it also means star. Growing up, she was told that she was a star, and now, she wanted to actually feel like one. Franzen performed 'Rainbows' by Kacey Musgraves. You can check out her performance here. "Aster shook the competition with this beautiful ballad.  #AlterEgoFOX".

The judges were absolutely amazed at how beautiful her voice was and the way she embodied her character effortlessly. They came down to the decision as to who should stay on the Diamond and soon, Aster took Safara's spot, moving to the next round. Fans did not back this decision as they believed that Safara was far more deserving of the Diamond.

"It's so hard to choose which belongs to the diamond Safara and Aster both did amazing performances too bad only one stays on the diamond  #AlterEgoFOX", lamented a fan. "Aster has a beautiful voice, but I don't her Alter Ego matches like Safara's does with her voice. #AlterEgoFOX", added another.  "This is how I know this show isn't keep my attention bcuz Aster was NOT better than Safara! Aster sounds like a typical pop vocalist. She's good but not great! I know it's alter ego but it's the sound that should hold the highest percentage. #AlterEgoFOX", tweeted a fan.

"Nope, I don't agree with putting Aster on the diamond...Wolfie & Safara were my choices #AlterEgoFOX", agreed another.
