'All the Bright Places': Release date, plot, cast and all you need to know about Netflix's romantic drama
'To All The Boys: P.S. I Still Love You' is not the only romantic adapted movie that Netflix is giving its viewers this February. The streaming service will also be releasing 'All the Bright Places', adapted from the young adult novel of the same name by Jennifer Niven.
However, this movie falls more along the lines of 'The Fault in Our Stars' (based on the book by John Green) and deals with themes such as death, depression and other mental health issues. 'All the Bright Places' is a heart-wrenching love story about a girl who learns to live from a boy who intends to die.
Release date
The movie will be released on Netflix on February 28.
Plot
Theodore Finch and Violet Markey are two teenagers who badly want to escape from their small Indiana town. Violet is a popular girl who is secretly dealing with survivor's remorse and Finch is a boy obsessed with death, labeled a freak by other students.
Fate brings the two together when both climbed the bell tower at school at the same time, planning to jump off the ledge.
Finch and Violet pair up on a project to discover the "natural wonders" of their state and both Finch and Violet make more important discoveries.
It is only with Violet that Finch can be himself —a weird, funny, live-out-loud guy who's not such a freak after all. And it's only with Finch that Violet can forget to count away the days and start living them. But as Violet's world grows, Finch's begins to shrink.
