There's more to Philadelphia than Rocky and cheesesteaks. Philly has football heroes. The Philadelphia Eagles are the center of attention in this year's 'All or Nothing' sports reality docu-series on Amazon Prime. Courtesy, the streaming network that provided us with advanced screeners, the series gives us an in-depth view of their rollercoaster 2019 season. It's solid, it's gripping and for the Eagles fans, this one's a must-watch. Eight electrifying episodes sum up the Philadelphia's Eagles campaign.

Episode 1 titled 'Fly Eagles Fly' sets the tone with Eagles coming up with a resounding win against Washington Redskins. Defensive end Brandon Graham gets ample screentime in the series. His infectious energy and the big smile give an idea of the mood in the Eagles camp. DeSean Jackson's return is the major storyline and his return yields well for the team after they notch up a from-dire-straits-to-back win against Redskins. Their star QB, Carson Wentz's relationship with the receivers is delved upon.

There isn't much time spent on their Week 3 game against Detroit Lions, but what it does comprehensively cover is the faults from the game. Wide receiver Nelson Agholor's fumble that left fans frustrated and disappointed gets some airtime. The eight-part series narrated by Jon Hamm sees the leadership skills of Malcolm Jenkins, Carson Wentz, and Brandon Graham and also dishes out some insight on the late-season rise of Miles Sanders and the anxiety issues Brandon Brooks faced at that point.

A bit of a comparison with 'Hard Knocks' and you'll notice that there is a perfect show flow. Player banters during practice time get some great coverage and the humor angle is covered with the mics picking up some fun chatter. But the mics also pick up some serious moments where players discuss the mistakes.

Exploring player traits and their off-field mannerisms make this edition of 'All or Nothing' an interesting watch. There are crisp clips of the players interacting, voicing out their thoughts and this adds more value to the docu-series. Graham gets the most screentime, both as a player and a person, and this bodes well for the series. Fans who know little about him can now get some in-depth insights. Team owner Jeffrey Lurie and executive vice-president Howie Roseman have their moments.

For those looking for some controversial content, prepare to be disappointed. 'The Philadelphia Eagles' is a straight, in-your-face recount of their journey throughout the season. It's player- and moment-specific. And for good reason. Steering clear of controversy and unneeded drama makes this a thoroughly enjoyable watch, especially for the fans. Radio commentary fans have a reason to rejoice with BGN Radio host James Seltzer provides generous doses of it throughout. The headline creating moments are explained and sometimes, that's just what's needed.

'All or Nothing: Philadelphia Eagles' premieres on Friday, February 7, exclusively on Amazon Prime Video. You can watch the trailer below:
