Fans of popular alt-rock veterans Alien Ant Farm were in for a pleasant surprise when the band dropped a new cover song and video to keep everyone entertained and engaged during the lockdown period. The brand new music video features AAF's personal take on Wham!'s 1984 single  'Everything She Wants', and the shot-at-home effort is full of fun, nostalgia, and celebrity cameos galore.

Some of the stars that make guest appearances on the video include DJ Zedd, Insane Clown Posse, members of 311, POD, Hoobastank, Crazy Town, The Black Dahlia Murder, and many more. Their combined efforts are sure to bring a smile to your face during this Covid-19 crisis. The light-hearted music video goes well with the energetic vibe that Alien Ant Farm breathes into this Wham! pop cover.

They are obviously no strangers to giving new life to old classics — their cover of Michael Jackson's 'Smooth Criminal' now has over 191 million view on Youtube alone. For this new cover of 'Everything She Wants', Alien Ant Farm have injected rocking guitar riffs, a bouncy bassline, groovy synths, and a soaring chorus to further update the George Michael-sung classic for our current times.

"We’d been working on our first record in six years when the lockdown hit and basically halted all production," Alien Ant Farm guitarist Terry Corso revealed in a press statement. "Luckily, we had a handful of songs recorded, mixed and ready to go, including our version of ‘Everything She Wants’ by Wham! The cover seemed like an obvious choice to inject some fun and happiness into a world that could really use it."

He also said the band wanted to make it a collaborative effort. "To sweeten the deal, we figured why not ask fans, friends, and family to film themselves having a little fun while quarantined/social distancing and send it to us for the video. The result is a cool experiment in people being apart and sending the clear message that we’re all in this together."

"As with any cover we take on, it usually starts with us being huge fans of the song and or the artist," Corso explained, while elaborating on their song choice. "The original Wham! version of 'Everything She Wants' is extremely heavy. It’s sonic, soulful and has great subject matter. I think we are a bit drawn to syncopated synth bass lines. They translate well to chunky guitars."

Corso was happy with their new take on the song, saying "I think just like with 'Smooth Criminal,' it was about keeping the attitude in place and maybe even taking it a little further. At the same time, playing into the raw simplicity of the riffs and arrangement while beefing up the guitar somehow makes it a whole different beast of a song."
