Al Roker looks chipper wearing matching pajamas in family photo on Christmas after leaving hospital
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Al Roker was all smiles while posing with his family for Christmas. The weatherman shared a photo of his family to Instagram on December 25, showing all of them wearing matching green 'Peanuts' pajamas. The photo included his 62-year-old wife Deborah Roberts, and children: 20-year-old son Nick, 24-year-old daughter Leila and 35-year-old Courtney. Courtney's husband, Wesley Laga, was also present.
Roker captioned the picture, “From our family to yours, #merrychristmas,” gaining thousands of likes and well wishes. A fan commented, “It’s good to see you home with your family, Al. Merry Christmas to all!” Another wrote, “Happy Holidays Mr. Roker, get better I miss seeing you on the Today show, it’s not the same without you!”

The post comes as the 68-year-old is recovering from health issues, which also saw him getting admitted to a hospital. On December 9, he reportedly came home after the treatment as he posted on Instagram, “Home! So incredibly grateful to family, friends, medical folks, @todayshow family and all your thoughts and prayers.”
During a recent interview with TODAY, Roker spoke about his “favorite family tradition." He said, “My favorite family tradition is not everybody fighting. That’s a great thing. If that happens — you can get your adult children together and their significant others and everything is fine? Win-win.”
Roker continued, “My kids — look, it's different now that they're older. Holiday shopping becomes much simpler. They're not looking for the hot toy or anything like that,” before adding, “We try to always be grateful year-round for what we have, but I think in the last few years we’re even more purposeful about it given that we have learned how quickly things can change on a dime. Maybe you don’t wait until the holidays to express that gratitude to those you love and care about.”
