'The Mandalorian' fans ecstatic as official poster of 'amazing' Ahmed Best as Jedi Kelleran Beq drops
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: The most controversial character in the 'Star Wars' franchise returns to the screen in the Disney+ original television series 'The Mandalorian' Season 3. 'Jar Jar Binks' actor Ahmed Best will play Jedi Master Kelleran Beq in season 3 of 'The Mandalorian,' starring Pedro Pascal, Gina Carano and Giancarlo Esposito. After taking incredibly toxic criticism for his 'Jar Jar Binks' portrayal, Ahmed Best has made a triumphant return to Star Wars with 'The Mandalorian' A familiar face with Best would be indispensable and would be a long overdue justice for the most unjustly reviled actor in this galaxy.
Although hated by the 'Star Wars' fandom, Jedi Master Kelleran Beq's return to the franchise was long overdue, as he saved Grogu from Order 66, and it's time to give him the respect he deserves.

Chapter 20: The Foundling
Beq appears in a flashback showing Grogu's escape from the Jedi Temple when it was attacked by Order 66. Beq, who works at the temple as an instructor for young padawans, finds baby Yoda alone in an elevator, fighting clone troopers—his nickname is 'The Sabered Hand'—with two lightsabers as he takes the child out of the building. This isn't the first time the actor has played Beq in the 'Star Wars' saga, but the first time he portrayed the Jedi was in 2020, when he embodied the character in a children's game show called 'Star Wars: Jedi Temple Challenge,' which aired on YouTube and the 'Star Wars' website for children. It's quite unique that 'The Mandalorian' found a way to feature the iconic character of Kelleran Beq in his canonical role as a teacher of Jedi children.
