'AGT' Season 19: Internet asks Amy Freese to take Daisy May and Clifford to 'dog shows' after 'embarassing' audition
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: While viewers were expecting a diverse range of talents to take the stage on May 28 as tryouts for 'America's Got Talent' Season 19 began, not all of them met their expectations. Viewers were upset when this season's first dog act failed to follow in the footsteps of Adrian Stoica and Hurricane, who won last season.
Amy Freese and her basset hound, Daisy May, performed together on Tuesday night. Her dog, Clifford, was also on stage but is presently training.
The trainer is a special education teacher from Chicago. Her two dogs, a basset hound, and a red bloodhound, do a typical agility exercise.
It is good for them!? However, after last season's narrative dog act, Adrian and Hurricane, won the event, dog acts may have a difficult time following suit.
For example, the dogs stopped participating at one point, most likely because they were scared of the lights and throng.
On Reddit, fans claimed, "I feel like Adrian and Hurricane raised the bar massively for dog acts."
On X, disappointed fans wrote, "I think #AGT needs a moratorium on dog acts and naked guys." Another person added, "let kids be kids and dogs be dogs."
One tweet also read, "these dogs don't want to be there I don't blame them she pretty much embarrassed them poor doggies." Another tweet also continued, "Ugh... take it to a dog show."

Others fear, "I bet the judges are looking at dog acts closer this year considering all the hate they got."

Did Daisy May and Clifford make it past the 'AGT' Season 19 audition?
Simon Cowell believed that not all canines are suitable for show business. He greeted the dogs on stage.
He felt horrible saying no to cute doggos, as did the other judges. Amy, Daisy May, and Clifford will not be moving on.
Who are Daisy May and Clifford in 'AGT' Season 19?
On Tuesday night's season debut of 'AGT', a former Storm Lake resident and her four-legged pals demonstrated their talents. Amy discovered that her dogs, Daisy May, a 6-year-old Basset Hound, and Clifford, a 4-year-old Red Bloodhound, could run an obstacle course.
She said basset dogs may be difficult, but after four years of regular training, it was a breeze. Amy claims that social media posts of her dogs in action went viral on TikTok, prompting her to send a video audition in order to be considered for the show.
People watched them and thought they were incredibly amusing, so Amy started posting them, and people laughed at seeing the dogs fool about and act stupid. Following the successful video audition, the family drove to California to perform in front of an audience.
The puppies had a day to adjust to the course and their new surroundings before performing live. Amy thinks it's fantastic to see a different breed of dog appreciate this sort of training, and she's happy to share it.
Where are 'AGT' Season 18 winners Adrian Stoice and Hurricane now?
Adrian, who won 'AGT' Season 18 for performing incredible acrobatics and skits with his border collie Hurricane, has a new puppy, and her name is as gorgeous as her fluffy fur.
Hurricane will make an excellent big sister, since she learned from her elder sister, Adrian's late dog Rory. Unfortunately, Adrian had to say goodbye to Rory only 10 days before his competition-winning performance.
'AGT' Season 19 will air on NBC at 8 pm ET.
